What a very memorable food experience we had at ‘Inn at the Sticks’ restaurant in Llanseffan. It was a wonderful dining experience, absolutely superb! It’s got to be the next up and coming Michelin starred restaurant for Wales, surely? The food was truly scrumming, I was the first person to try their delicious Welsh Rarebit and it didn’t disappoint, the staff are wonderful along with the ambience and fantastic drinks! Well done to you all, keep it up and we can’t wait to come back soon.

Our first visit to The Inn At The Sticks for lunch and it won't be our last! A wonderful welcome with our 2 dogs, immediately taken care of by the dining room staff in all respects. An splendid menu of choices using a tapas style of dishes and shared between us. A great variety of drinks too. Excellent quality of food accompanied by thoughtful and friendly service throughout. A relaxed atmosphere and decor, easy to find too. Well done and many thanks for a delicious and relaxing meal.

We stayed for two nights, the owners Teej and Jenks took over a few months ago, they have made the place absolutely lovely. I can't compliment the food enough nor the friendly welcome. We had a meal in a 3 star michelin restaurant in Barcelona (ABAAC restaurant) a few weeks previous (very good) but the food here was far better. Congratulations to everybody at the Inn at the sticks, and thank you.

Very friendly staff serving delicious food. They will happily cater for allergies/intolerances and there were a number of Gluten free options on the daily menu. If you are both gluten and dairy free, they advise phoning a couple of days ahead of visiting so they can make a yummy

New management took over The Sticks earlier this year and are doing an amazing job. The quality of food is excellent, service is very friendly. Recommended.

Four of us Popped in for lunch after a walk on Llansteffan beach. Was surprised that the menu didn't have the usual pub fare, but had loads of delicious sounding dishes instead. We all ordered different things and we were all completely delighted with our choices. In my opinion, the food was of 'Fine Dining' quality. Absolutely delicious, and obviously created by a chef that really understands how to combine flavours. To top it off, the service was brilliant and the atmosphere was very welcoming - dog friendly too. 5 stars all round

Fantastic relaxed atmosphere. Excellent friendly and knowledgeable staff serving dishes you just won't see anywhere else in carmarthenshire. For instance today we could have had smoked eel! The food is very high quality and mostly local produce prepared to the highest standards. Can't wait to go back as so many things to try. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Great to see such a staple of the town alive and kicking again.Really enjoyed ourselves and will be back for sure. Great for meat eaters and pescatarians. Options for vegetarians were limited despite it being such a fertile time of the year for so much veg!We had a plentiful meal full of meat and fish, whilst my sister ate cabbage and carrots - which were lovely, but the same price as the meat options and don't add up to a well rounded meal. The mussels were excellent and service very pleasant.

This place offers a unique combination of great food and relaxed atmosphere. There is an utter attention for detail and great interaction with the customers. The owners put a lot of value in sourcing local and fresh ingredients, and a lot of creativity goes into preparing the specials. Their “wine therapy” is based on knowledgeably and carefully selected wines, the result is an interesting wine list that covers both traditional and curious choices. Their take on the national dish “rarebit” makes for an indulgent yet delicate moment. We enjoyed a choice of mains across the board, including lamb, sole and beef, each one with its own subtle advantage, all surprising in their balance and richness. Our room with traditional beams and high posted bed was tastefully presented, clean and equipped with everything we could need. All in all a fantastic stay and we will be recommending to friends.Thank you team @innatthesticks

As a chef I do find it difficult to find really great places to eat... Most are just average and just about passable... Especially Sunday lunch.. The gravy is the key to a great lunch!Inn At The Sticks did not disappoint! Fantastic proper gravy!Went to have Sunday lunch which they did not offer as such but managed to pick things from the Welsh tapas menu to suit. The flavours and well thought out combinations certainly packed a fantastic punch to the palette.. We had the beef brisket with a horseradish cream/ pork belly/ salted potatoes and chared hispi cabbage with a tahini butter. All amazing!Would highly recommend a visit. We sat at the chefs table.. Watching a calm well organised kitchen with great service brought a smile to my face. ?Food & drinks: Exellent
