Our host and chef surprised us with the quality and excellent presentation of food. Pork tandoori was particularly memorable. For a free house the range of beers wasn’t very interesting, but the Doom Bar was perfectly acceptable. Highly recommended.
Doesn't look like much as you go in as decor is a traditional old pub but dont be put off, the welcome and food could not be better. The lady who owns I was very friendly, her chef was coming in later but sorted our lunches out for us regardless. Really went the extra mile. You can take your dog in to sit by your table too. Lovely little country style pub. Fresh home cooked food. Friendly bartender. Good findKid-friendliness: Whilst there was no kids menu, they said any main meal could be reduced in size for a kiddys meal. They have fruitshoots.
