This is the third time we’ve been and each time we have loved the food not only are they huge portions but super tasty too and the quality is the best!! We’ve heard the Sunday roast is the best around too so have booked in and can’t wait to try it. Well done to the head chef Jason and his waiting team for being the best!! We can’t wait to try our roasts in two weeks ?

This is a fabulous local pub and the food was absolutely amazing and great value. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

We visited this lovely little quiet restaurant for an early evening dinner and drink on 4th July and were welcomed by friendly cheerful staff. There is a bar with tv for the sports fans and at the opposite end a clean and pleasant eating area. The menu was simple but with several good choices. Drinks are usually expensive these days wherever you go but the food was good value, hot and served promptly and delicious! Much of it is local ingredients. We didn’t have room for the dessert! We were visiting the area to possibly live here and therefore hope to come back on a regular basis! A real asset to the village!

Good pub, nice and clean, good drinks. But why does the customer's have to scream and shout at the top of their voices and the management allow them to do it,is it possible that they are hyped up by some substance.

Grim, like eating in a football stand, never ever again. Staff were offhand and simply bored. Was told it’s now connected to the pub in Mathern so make what you will of that.

Ordered roast, really not impressed. Roast potatoes were burnt black and meat had lots of fat. Considering what we paid, will not be eating there again.

The food is absolutely beautiful the price is very good also well worth every bit we went for a family meal. I would highly recommend. We will all be going there in future. Staff were brilliant also polite, amazing with table service definitely give higher than a five star A*******

Friendly staff! ☺️ Food was incredible, we all had different dishes, ribeye stake, stake salad, chicken strips and chips and kids meal scampi chips and peas. Homemade, amazing size portions for brilliant prices. Deserts are to die for ? Food came great timing. Parking outside. Provide high chairs and have a lovely beer garden safe for kids to play as they have a gate to shut it off. Will be returning ?

Great price lovely environment and great service we will be back. Drove past for many years never came in but decided to today. Came in at lunch very quiet and were seen very quickly by the waitress. Very nice menu plenty to choose from and catered to any changes to the meal we needed. Very nice beer garden not too small or big overall a very nice place

This pub is now under a new landlady who is absolutely lovely. The food was lovely and a lot of it with the large portions that they do. We were welcomed by the bartender that seated us also got highchairs for our children. He took our drinks orders straight away and food was not far behind. It was very clean and tidy a lovely restaurant and we will be back !

Handy local convenience store with comparable prices, well stocked and friendly team members. It's kept clean and there is parking to the side. It's close to a school, so may be busy at lunchtime and home time so keep that in mind if visiting.

Came for a last minute Sunday Roast to have a catch up with friends. 30 minutes until we were asked if we were ready to order. Food came and the vegetables to share had cooked ham and one of us was vegetarian. Never asked about allergies or dietary requirements and the waitress wasn’t concerned at all. Ordered puddings and there was very select few left. Chocolate fudge cake had hairs in the sponge, cutlery was dirty. Only good thing about this pub was the waitress Karys who was very apologetic and took some drinks off the bill. Would not recommend!

Dated, run down and often short staffed. Go and compare to the one near the racecourse, like night and day. Would add that NONE of this is the fault of the staff who do their best, simply zero investment by the lazy owners who clearly use it as a cashcow
