Very nice room in a nice old hotel. Breakfast not included, but can be purchased in the hotels restaurant or in the nearby cafés. Nice town, but popular (a little crowded) among mostly British tourists. Close to the quay and the castle. Free parking available. Only stairs to the rooms. A somehow big and busy hotel. Hotel’s restaurant and bar busy at times. Not very personal service.

A hidden gem in the beautiful town of Conwy. Staff and service are excellent. We were allocated an amazing room on the 3rd floor with a wardrobe that, when you opened it, was a beautiful Sitting room. It is dog friendly too! A lovely treat for any occasion.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely stay, the staff were all very professional and friendly and the room very clean, well done the house cleaning staff. We took our dog and she was looked after very well.

This is a lovely hotel. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet and all the staff were welcoming, helpful and courteous. There were also great little extras, such as the bottled water and chocolates left in our room. We would definitely stay here again when we are next in the area.

This trip was rearranged after the hotel was shut due to COVID, during our last visit in 2020. Our expectations were therefore high, but the hotel managed to exceed them. The staff were generally friendly and very efficient. We arrived later than expected and they rebooked our dinner reservation without any fuss. The food was delicious, and the restaurant was full of character. We were checked-in while waiting on our food (very efficient!) Our room exceeded all expectations, we were given the deluxe suite, to our delight. It was fabulously arranged and the decor was very impressive, including a lounge, a large bathroom and very comfortable bed. The only minor niggle was that the bedroom window was a bit rattly. Next morning the breakfast was good and service was similarly efficient. The staff / managers on check-out were quite chatty and also helpfully let us use the car park for a couple of hours after check-out. Thank you very much, Castle Hotel team, we hope to visit again in the future.

On arrival the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Food in the restaurant at Breakfast and Dinner was excellent. We had a junior suite with everything we needed, apart from a fridge and the weather was very hot, A safe would have been a good addition as well.

Lovely hotel and lovely staff . We had the four poster room which was super comfortable. The location in the centre of Conwy means you can walk to loads of places from the hotel without using the car .

The menu choices here are really excellent and worthy of a multi-starred Michelin restaurant: smoked duck with hot sin sauce; cod and chorizo risotto... The whole mouth experience was rather disappointing. Not bad, you understand, but one was left with the sense that a little more adventure by the chef would have made this spectacular. The flavours are subtle and authentic, but turning the volume up would really lift it. Prices slightly high, therefore, for the quality, and the compulsory 10% service charge is unwelcome.

We recently enjoyed a three night visit to beautiful Conwy and had the pleasure of staying at the Castle Hotel. I can only echo all of the positives posted by other guests and have to say having stayed at many a hotel the Castle really is up there with the best. Lovely hotel with polite, helpful and cheerful staff. I saw some comments about early morning street noise and yes we experienced it as our delightful room happened to overloo high street. What I would say is if you want a quiet start to the day don't choose a town centre hotel. What you do hear early morning is a brilliant little town waking up and coming to life. Yes there is some unavoidable noise but think of it more in the words of the Neil Diamond song. " It's a beautiful noise, comin' up from the street got a beautiful sound it's got a beautiful beat ! Breakfast is excellent, evening meals in the restaurant equally as good. Big bonus is that the Castle has its own guest car park. I would recommend the Castle to anyone and without hesitation, we look forward to a return visit soon. A special thanks to Joe for the history lesson and interesting facts about Conwy Castle, like its namesake hotel it's also fantastic !

This was our first trip to Conwy and we really enjoyed it. The Castle Hotel was a great location to both enjoy the town of Conwy as well as the surrounding area, including Anglesey, Portmeirion, Caernarfon and Llandudno. The hotel has comfortable rooms, a nice upscale restaurant, and a great atmosphere in this old coaching inn. Definitely a recommended place to stay to enjoy North Wales.

A spotless hotel, superbly furnished and boasting excellent car parking facilities. Just a few blemishes prevent a 5star rating.Avoid a room at the front of the hotel as early tradesmen make no concessions to your being asleep.For our 3 night stay we had to ask for the bathroom to be cleaned and fresh towels to be provided.The first request, unfortunately, fell on deaf ears and we had to ask again. Whilst the restaurant service and food are very good, every little extra fins its way on to the bill which soon adds up
