What a gem this wonderful, welcoming hotel is, you won’t be disappointed. Bright good sized room with en-suite, and huge comfy bed (room 2) and everything you need. Excellent breakfast of superb quality cooked to perfection and a great choice. Henrique is so friendly and attentive and on hand for a chat or to offer recommendations. Theres a good sized bar and lounge area to relax and breakfast room with castle views. Stayed two nights and felt so well rested and relaxed. Perfect location nice and quiet, with parking and right by the castle wall with views of the castle from the front rooms. Just a few minutes walk into the centre and castle itself and a perfect base to explore. Overall a wonderfully presented hotel with a cozy warm feel. So glad we stayed here. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay in Conwy.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Castlebank hotel. Jo and Henrique provided fantastic customer service and the breakfast was delicious. Our room had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to everything in Conwy but away from any noise in the evenings. We had a few holidays during the summer holidays, (Cornwall and Spain) but this was the one our 6 year old talked about when she went back to school! Will definately return next year!

My wife and I were in need of a relaxing break, this place filled the bill spot on, the room was spacious and comfortable and everything that is expected is there. The large bed in our room was so comfortable that we didn't want to get out of it until time to get ready for breakfast, breakfast was whatever you wanted and as much as wanted. The hosts, Jo. and Henrique are brilliant hosts, plenty of time to talk and help with guests quieries. Basically brilliant.

The service received from the owners of this hotel was exceptional. They were friendly and helpful in every way you could want. The breakfast provided was amazing. I genuinely can't say enough nice things about this hotel. Conwy was also a wonderful place to visit.

A lovely family run hotel comfortably located just outside historical town wall. Our room was clean, tidy and comfortable, the view from the window stunning. Bathroom slightly on the smaller side, but clean and totally functional. Owners were great - friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Breakfast - delicious

My girlfriend and I stayed here for the weekend and the hotel was easy to find, right on the edge of town, with parking on site which was great. Very welcoming hosts, really friendly and happy to help. The place is lovely, has a nice dining area, and there's a small bar too. The room was great (we had the king size en suite), nice tea and coffee provided, as well as toiletries. Plenty of wardrobe space. For us, the bed was way too soft...we do have a firm bed ourselves but this was very soft indeed. I'd say it did affect sleep a bit, but not to the extent we couldn't sleep at all as the place is very quiet at night. Breakfast was lovely, with a large choice of juices, cereals and cooked breakfasts too. Excellent value for money. we'd definitely stay again as apart from the soft bed the place was perfect!

The welcome we received was probably the best we have ever experienced. It was 32 years since our last visit ( change of owners in that time), but the current people are exemplary in how they treat their guests. Very friendly, attentive and just nice people! We will definitely revisit again this very clean and comfortable hotel that is perfectly positioned in Conwy….. oh and the breakfast is second to none… a lovely place

This is the second time that I've stayed in this hotel. The hotel was done up in the meantime, so that already sets it apart from many similar establishments. It also feels a lot more like a guest house than a hotel because Jo and Henrique (who run the hotel under the watchful eye of their cat) are there for you whenever you need them. Apart from that the rooms are genuinely of a good size. There's ample parking outside and a bus stop (for buses to Llandudno) is close by. The hotel is right outside the city walls and of course Conwy is tiny, so you can do everything on foot.

I stayed at CastleBank for 5 nights during a magical trip with my sister and her Harp Group. I tagged along with her group of 13 harp enthusiasts during explorations of Wales and its Celtic music. We did the tourist spots, in addition to harp centric events. Our stay at this lovely hotel was an absolute highlight, run by a lovely couple who have been doing this for over 20 years. They handled our group with such personal interest, that I feel like they are family now! I must go back each year to see them again! Although from 1850, it's amazing how updated the hotel is, and comfortable our accommodations were. Plus, our room (#3) had such an incredible view overlooking the walled city with Castle and harbor in view. An easy 1 block walk to a person- sized hole in the great wall, giving easy access to a walkable city filled with history from every angle. The weather even cooperated with only one little afternoon shower during the whole visit to Convy. The breakfast was delicious, in a dining area with the sun pouring in through windows framing incredible castle views. Of course you should do the Convy Castle with a local guide to understand the history! Don't forget to do the walk on top of the city wall, it's free and accessible from several spots. What great views! So much more to share, I"m just unable to cover it all!

We had a wonderful experience with Henrique and Jo, who were kind and friendly throughout our entire stay. Even when our train was late for check-in, they were understanding and accommodating, which is always appreciated when travelling.Henrique showed us around the hotel upon our arrival. He took the time to give us a tour and ensure that we were familiar with the amenities and facilities available to us during our stay. This is especially helpful for travellers who may be unfamiliar with the hotel's layout, Henrique was able to make us feel comfortable and welcomed from the start. The breakfast was fantastic too, and that the overall vibe of the hotel was relaxing and welcoming. It's evident that Henrique and Jo truly care about their guests' experiences and take an active interest in making sure everyone is happy.Henrique and Jo were able to sort any problems promptly during our stay. We felt reassured that they would be there to provide support whenever we needed it.Their responsiveness and willingness to take care of any issues demonstrate their dedication to ensuring a positive experience for all their guests.Additionally, the hotel's location is very convenient as it's in close proximity to the train station and situated near the wall and castle. It's always a bonus when a hotel is situated in a convenient location like this.Highly recommend :)Walkability: couple minus to town centre and train station

Arrived and greeted by an excellent host, nothing too much bother. Room looking out over castle, great view. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was quirky and unusual but fully functional though minding the step in the middle of the night and going quietly was a task. The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order and provided to you at your table. Lovely way to start your day. Excellent location, very close to the castle, town and sea. Henrique, the very pleasant and helpful host/owner was on hand for any needs and opened the bar anytime it was wanted. Overall a lovely stay in a very welcoming hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed it. If we ever come this way again we would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

We had two nights here at the end of May. A very friendly welcome, a comfortable and beautifully decorated room (3) and a nice breakfast. It has its own car park and is located just outside the town walls, 5 minutes walk into the centre. We are already talking about a repeat visit sometime later in the year, it’s the sort of hotel that you can imagine returning to year after year, a great find.

We had a wonderful stay at the Castlebank hotel in Conwy. The hotel is very close to the town centre. Jo and Henrique are great attentive hosts. Our breakfasts were first class. Our room was immaculately clean and very comfortable with a massive bed. All at a reasonable price. Henrique was very knowledgeable pointing out good places to visit.
