Amazing. 1st time in Wales celebrating a birthday and we couldn't have had better hosts. Great suggestions for local activitys and restaurants, and were even kind enough to help us out with a lift to a restaurant on our final day.Could not give high enough praise and would definitely recommend staying here.(and if that doesn't convince you the picture is the view from our room)

Our reason to stay here was to be close to walking paths and we were! The room was very comfortable, breakfast and service was very good and the only not so good thing was how close it is to the main road. However, there was no disturbance from it at night.

Absolutely fantastic hotel and host. The rooms are very nice and tidy, the views from the rooms are amazing. The hotel has this old house vibe, which is very cosy and comfortable. It is close to the Mountains, restaurants and other tourist destinations (with car) As it was bank holiday we expected to be very crowded but it was very quiet and nice, however loads of people were at that time in, everyone was very respectful to the “vibe” of the Hotel. I will definitely remember this this and this amazing host 5+ Stars !!!

Cosy, friendly place to eat. We didn't stay here but we ate here two nights. Food is simple but well prepared and just right after a day in the mountains. The barman was very welcoming and attentive, serving us food and drink all evening as we sat by a warm log fire. Perfect!Food & drinks: Simple but good quality food.

Love this place and been visiting once or twice a year for 30+ years. It's still in the same family and seen some changes in that time (not least a big settee where the pool table once stood). But still great food, great beer and a friendly welcome.

Rather soleless place with automatic, no contact check in. Room was really rather small for the price, but appeared clean. The attached restaurant was hugely over priced based on quality and portion size, and the wait between ordering and receiving food, of well over an hour, was shoddy considering the order was for a couple of pies which could be cooked in 15 minutes in a relatively empty restaurant. Beers were expensive too, over a quid more than the local pub and eating house.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean as well as being dog friendly. Delicious breakfast and the friendly staff even gave our dog an extra sausage for his breakfast so he didn’t feel left out! Great base for exploring snowdon and surrounding area. Great pub attached to the inn, we had the pie of the day which was delicious. Thanks to the team, we will definitely be back.

Such a fabulous hotel, amazing staff, beautifully clean and homely / smart rooms. Staff could not do enough for us. Travelled with a group of 11 of us and we were able to use a room downstairs for a private party. Nothing was too much trouble, even let us store a birthday cake in their fridge. AMAZING breakfast, fabulous veggie option (proper veggie sausages!). LOVED the location, right by a stream with picnic tables outside opposite the hotel. I had room 11 and would totally recommend. Will definitely be back. Can not find fault at all. Just fabulous. Thank you so much.

Called in here after a day's walking in Snowdonia, on our way home to South Wales. Chose from the small "specials" menu - fish and chips and steak & ale pie and chips. The pie was absolutely delicious, with plenty of meat, some vegetables and very good gravy. The fish and chips was the best I have ever had in a pub/restaurant - the quality of the fish was exceptional, with a very light batter. Pub chips are usually fairly ordinary or poor, but these were particularly good - perfect! A friendly place for a meal, highly recommended. The sign outside saying "Food Served Here" is what prompted us to call in, at around 8pm.

Such a fantastic time here. Everything was so well thought out from check in to eating. Incredibly helpful and friendly- we travelled with Harry the dog and it was a relief to have such a dog friendly stay. Bright clean comfy rooms were a welcome after climbing Snowdon especially with a bath. Lovely toiletries as well as fluffy towels. The food in the restaurant- Flame and Grain was delicious with a great choice of fresh local Welsh produce. The steak pie was off the clock. We will be back either as a small group or tempted with the option to hire the whole place to have a big getaway. Parking easy. So convenient for Snowdon or any adventure mountain sports and close to the town of want to have a little nosey around the shops. Thank you for a wonderful stay

This place was absolutely fantastic. Couldn’t speak highly enough of how helpful everyone was when we stayed here. Rachel who runs it was incredibly accommodating and understanding when due to our own circumstances a couple of issues arose and couldn’t do enough to help. Coop with whom we also had contact was a star as well, he was ever so helpful and everyone there was so friendly. The place in itself is situated in such a wonderful location with stunning views. On the first morning, we took breakfast and sat down by the stream opposite the hotel. The room and bathroom were spotless and had a homely and cozy feel. The place in itself is so pretty and decor is warm and welcoming. Would love to stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you to everyone there for a lovely stay!

Fab rooms, super comfy, with everything you need. Checked in last minute and all the logistics were made super easy for me. Flame & Grain Bar and Grill is absolutely wonderful. Definitely recommend a meal or a drink here to experience it. Brain and his team provide amazing food, coupled with warm and easy going hospitality, such a great find, and will definitely be back. Thanks a million for such a great stay :)

We were a large group of 17 and Brian and the team were incredible accommodating us for a meal on Saturday evening. The food was fantastic. The kids were in their element, served quickly before ourselves and feasting on Steak and Chips or Fish and Chips, the same quality that the adults were served. The platters were stunning, the pork belly being the jewel in the crown! Buttery soft meat with a crispy crackling. The steak pie was full of flavour, and the beef melt in the mouth. Plenty of gravy to dunk the chunkiest, crisp, chips into. Unassuming from the outside, this pub is not to be driven past!!!! Brilliant, welcoming service, and food to remember!
