We were travelling to wales via another route and were looking for a Sunday roast, so having reviewed some pubs via Google on route, we booked a table in the doggie area as we had our 4 legged family member with us. We were showed to our table promptly despite being a little early so that was great. The pub is contemporary, airy and bright which was a welcomed surprise. We ordered a starter each, soup, and tandoori prawns, both were delicious, and followed with two roast beef dinners. WOW OH WOW…. Meat was cooked beautifully, and was not processed stuff, together with mash, Yorkshire and a roaster, aswell as an ample amount of gravy which was great, not stingy as most places are having to ask for a sep gravy boat…. the veg medley came separately, and again the broccoli, cabbage and carrots were fresh, and not overcooked. Overall I can honestly say - without a doubt, it was one of the nicest, tastiest, sunday roasts we have had out- PROPER HOME COOKED, really delicious. We will definitely be returning. Thank you, the experience was fantastic, and the young dark haired waitress was super friendly and accommodating.Food & drinks: Superb Sunday roast

Awkward, uninviting staff. Poor service. Lack of common sense. Not possible to serve water that’s not chilled - apparently they do not have a microwave or kettle at their disposal. Food is okay though.

Very mediocre food, especially with what you pay for it! But I guess it's a nice location and convenient to stop at.

Stopped in on the way to North Wales. What a little find. Very welcoming and all staff were friendly. Really good selection of food and drinks with a quick service. Prices are all reasonable as well. If you're passing by definitely stop by!

Lovely welcoming atmosphere, great food, massive portions.....only had a sandwich but still too full for a pudding.
Lovely meal today. Good service. No complaints at all, and recommended. Menu updated. Good value.

Our experience at the cross foxes is mixed. The location of the place is fantastic. Their is plenty of free parking for patrons that is safe and off the road. When we arrived we were greeted on arrival by a very happy, helpful lady that really made us feel welcome! The place is spotlessly clean, very modern and extremely welcoming. The room we were given was beautiful. Again spotless and every amenity we could need. Their were plenty of towels in the bathroom too. A wide selection of tea and coffee and some beautiful homemade biscuits. Well worth the money. It was an old room with exposed beams but with a modern clean twist. However....After a busy day walking in the mountains we were keen to get showered and take an early night. My wife got out of the shower and luckily changed into her nightmare when a man let himself in to the room! The rooms are key card rooms so whoever let themselves in must of had a master key... presumably a staff member. We thought if it was housekeeping they may have knocked first. This left myself and my wife extremely anxious as to what the man was doing in our room. The next morning at breakfast one of the guests told us it may of been a member of staff that sometimes stops in an empty room, either way it spoilt what was otherwise a lovely stay. With no way of locking the door from inside the room it's a shame to say we probably won't be back

Popped in for lunch before the long drive home. Didn't book a table, but there were plenty of free tables arriving just before 12pm. Greeted immediately by a very courteous guy behind the bar. Food was decent and service fast. Only issue was wrong sauce brought out with steak. Waiter had disappeared before I noticed, so rather than make a fuss, I tried out the alternative sauce instead.
