We booked the Rose and Crown as a surprise meal for my mum's 80th birthday and it did not disappoint. The staff allowed us to turn up early with flowers, balloons and table decorations and they did the decorating for us. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were a party of 7 and each one of us enjoyed our meals. Food was well presented hot and good portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Rose and Crown and will be coming back again soon.17.10.2023
Good clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Evening food is very good. Staff polite , helpful and friendly. Only criticism is breakfast. Previously there were better options and nothing too much trouble. Now only two options on menu, full English (a little greasy) or vegetarian. A small table with tea/coffee, optional juices on request. Toaster, few cereals options. A wonderful restaurant and bar. The kindly staff accommodated us at short notice. We were there early evening. The venue is beautifully decorated and light. The service was amazing. The staff are friendly but very professional. The food was incredible. Each of our party chose something different. Each plate was clean as a whistle on completion.
