We weren’t customers at angies and we had gotten takeaway food from another shop. we found an area of seating that wasn’t outside of any shops or restaurants/cafes but was across the street from angies, due to there not being a sign to say it was seating for the cafe we thought we could sit there. were sat eating our food when a women who worked there came out and immediately began to shout at us for sitting there. She told us she would charge us for sitting there. began to explain that we did not know that the seating was for that place, but she interrupted and shouted across the road that “manners make the man” and we should have came in and asked. i appreciate that point but do not think she should be preaching that manners make the man when she clearly does not have any herself. And i do not understand what kind of money making scheme charging 2 pound is but i think a grown women demanding money of minors is disgusting. We are not from this area and travelled 3 hours, and will not be coming back if this is the treatment we receive.

Warm and welcoming staff; generous bacon baps & delicious sausage baps; good strong tea. Seats in and out. Pretension & fussiness free. Great!Kid-friendliness: Very generous with the tomatoe sauce!

The kind of place a cyclist like me needs. Full plate, tea and big flapjacks. Coupled with a real nice owner. Many thanks indeed.

Wonderful traditional little cafe with unpretentious menu, very nice home cooked food at sensible prices and in proper portions. Best of all was the friendliness and humour behind the counter. If I didn't live 1200 miles away I'd be in 3 times a week, so if you are in Hay don't miss it...Andy from Budapest
