Going off the state I picked my dad up the other night I'm going to say he had a fantastic night! We travelled from Derbyshire for a holiday in the area over New Year and called in for a drink after a drive out. We left my dad and another bloke in the pub to watch the football whilst we went back....fast forward 4 hours and my dad rings me, bladdered saying he's had the best night ever! Friends for life was his words! Can only give 5 stars for this place....although I should be sending a cleaning bill because the jager bombs a second time around weren't nice!

If I lived here, this would be my local. Best beer (and price) in town. Its warm (all the other pubs were warm as well in fairness). Good background music with great locals. This would be one of my happy places. Not in a position to comment on food. There new young owners, hoping they make it work!

Only place we found real ale in Kidwelly, only £3.50 a pint too...Warm & friendly inside.

Just called in for a couple of drinks on a wet and windy Saturday night. Good beer and wine, and a chilled atmosphere.

Popped in to ask directions to my holiday cottage extremely friendly atmosphere and was greeted by a local who came outside with me to point the way to my holiday cottage. Decided to return that evening for a couple of pints and a meal with my wife, unfortunately was advised that food was no longer available because of the possibility of fire with the thatched roof. Decided to eat elsewhere.

Driven past here a few times since arriving 5 days ago and decided to try out the woodfired pizza this evening. Only available Mon & Weds from 6pm. Made on site and can be eaten in the pub or taken away. All staff very helpful and had a nice chat with the locals whilst waiting for the pizza. They were absolutely amazing. Very tasty, fresh ingredients, freshly cooked. Well worth a try if you are in the area.

A fantastic afternoon having a couple of beers with the locals. We popped in to see if there was food available, there wasn’t but the local real ale and the banter with the locals made up for that. Our dog Darcy was made welcome and was given treats with the pubs dog. A wonderful couple of hours chatting and laughing with the locals and the landlady. Great local Welsh beer and great company, we’ll visit again when we come back!

Popped in for a drink and was going to have food if available. Was told by the landlady there was only sandwiches and rolls available today. We had only popped in for a drink. We had a wonderful couple of hours with some of the locals. The landlady and the locals gave us a great time, we’re English but we had a wonderful time chatting and enjoying the company. If we visit this part of Wales again this will be the place we’ll visit. Thank you and we hope to return soon,
