Our group of four ladies spent a wonderful evening at The Moathouse. Excellent food and a wide variety of wines, real ales, spirits and cocktails. One of our party only drinks a specific brand of spirits and Hamish bought it in specially as he doesn’t normally stock it - he also had a bit of fun with us organising a ‘taste test’. Faultless service - above and beyond. Will definitely revisit soon.

While visiting Kidwelly Castle, we discovered this little gem of a place. We were hungry and it was right outside the castle. Lovely countryside restaurant/pub and the food served was absolutely incredible. The battered fried Squid was delicious, and so was the Pate. Sunday Roast, Lamb was fabulous, and Pork was just yum. Very friendly staff and service was excellent. Great value for money. A must try when you are visiting Kidwelly Castle.

Food was fantastic, especially enjoyed the seafood dishes, croquetas and the Sobrassada with fried egg. Cheese board with excellent too with loads of Welsh cheeses.Bar was great and they had a good selection of Welsh craft beers.Location is great next to Kidwelly Castle.The atmosphere is lovely inside and staff were super friendly, I could easily spend all day there drinking and grazing.Don't think there's a website so you need to call up to reserve a table (although I'm sure...read full review
