Why did it take us so long to return? We live just five miles away so there's no excuse. But what an utter joy to return to Anthony's: Booked via FB a couple of days before (VERY quick response to my initial email) and turned up a little early to find the place reasonably full. We were recommended here for Sunday lunch, and wow it certainly didn't disappoint. An absolute gem of a find. The owners were so accommodating. We had the Roast Beef for Lunch and my son said "Sorry Mum but this is the best roast Beef I've ever had, and the roasties and the gravy". The meat literally was melt in your mouth. Had a takeaway Sunday Lunch from Anthony’s. No Aunt Bessy’s dinner here, proper home cooked. Massive portions, best cooked dinner I’ve had in a long time ( just don’t tell my mum)
