I can’t believe how low cost this evening was. Everything was so tasty, the tapas style food allowed us to try a range of options which was nice, service was fast and staff were lovely. A hidden gem if I ever saw one! :)

Great tapas with pretty views. Todd was quick. Loads of variety. We had a dog so had to sit outside but fortunately weather was lovely

Our group of four ladies spent a wonderful evening at The Moathouse. Excellent food and a wide variety of wines, real ales, spirits and cocktails. One of our party only drinks a specific brand of spirits and Hamish bought it in specially as he doesn’t normally stock it - he also had a bit of fun with us organising a ‘taste test’. Faultless service - above and beyond. Will definitely revisit soon.

While visiting Kidwelly Castle, we discovered this little gem of a place. We were hungry and it was right outside the castle. Lovely countryside restaurant/pub and the food served was absolutely incredible. The battered fried Squid was delicious, and so was the Pate. Sunday Roast, Lamb was fabulous, and Pork was just yum. Very friendly staff and service was excellent. Great value for money. A must try when you are visiting Kidwelly Castle.

Having visited for the first time about 6 weeks ago, I meant to write a review then but life got in the way. That review would have been for me, my wife and two kids and would have been glowing. This review however is for a family meal of 5 adults and 3 children ranging from 3-12 years old and every single one of us loved it. Having been in Barcelona in May we were missing tapas like crazy and having only lived here for 18 months we hadn’t realised how close we were to this amazing place. The service is friendly and attentive without being overcrowding and we were made to feel welcome even with the children (not the case everywhere). The food was fantastic, we ordered 20 dishes and expected a long wait but it was prompt and hot in every case, special mention to the Croquetas and the Calamari which sated my Barcelona cravings. If you love tapas or have yet to try it then please give the moathouse a go, we will be coming back for years now and plan to take everyone who comes to visit along.

Food was fantastic, especially enjoyed the seafood dishes, croquetas and the Sobrassada with fried egg. Cheese board with excellent too with loads of Welsh cheeses.Bar was great and they had a good selection of Welsh craft beers.Location is great next to Kidwelly Castle. The atmosphere is lovely inside and staff were super friendly, I could easily spend all day there drinking and grazing.Don't think there's a website so you need to call up to reserve a table (although I'm sure they fit walks ins in too)

We were out with my family and had a wonderful time

Food was mediocre and the bar staff particularly the blonde woman with the accent were very arrogant and unprofessional

Had the best marguerita ever, followed by another one... wonderful tapas, friendly staff, set in a beautiful location by the castle. Lovely place to spend a warm summers evening
