I live locally and decided on going here for a meal. I've eaten in hundreds of Indian restaurants and lived in Birmingham for 25 years. Have had take away from here before but thought we would try the eat in experience. We had pre-booked a table for 4 earlier in the day. First impressions from outside are not great. Tonight was our first time having a takeaway from Saffron....EXCELLENT! We will be ordering again as our food was first-class from start to finish.Good portions and nice to have a dish that was actually filled with meat unlike some places that may allow 4 pieces of meat per portion and leave you with a sea of sauce instead.Support your local business and when stuck for something to eat then try the Saffron.

After what had been almost 18 months not having a take away from Saffron, Knighton, I walked in and was immediately welcomed by my first name. Brought a smile to my face! Friendly, warm and welcoming, Saffron also doesn’t let you down when it comes to the food. 7 main dishes and 5 sides all tasted great, especially the King Prawn Exotic, a particular favourite. The team is always happy to chat and welcomes customer engagement. Recommend this restaurant highly. P
