Wonderful to find outstanding food (crab, scallops, king prawns, burger, ?) with friendly service.Fantastic selection of drinks and a brilliant soundtrack). Make an effort to get here, you won't regret it.

Came here for Mother’s Day (14 of us), had a beautiful lunch and lovely surroundings! I don’t really want to complain as I know this is a really busy day but the only thing that let it down was the speed the food came out! One of our tables hadn’t had their drink order when all the starters were coming out! It felt very rushed at the beginning and no time to chat and relax with a drink for 5 minutes first. But will definitely go back as it is usually very relaxing on a normal occasion. We all enjoyed anyway! Thank you to all the staff on such a busy day.

Wow. Relaxed atmosphere. Unrushed experience. Husband and wife team know their stuff. Efficient, friendly service. Compliments to an excellent chef.

Restaurant was very cold my son and daughter were shivering, we asked could we move tables because we were all cold and close to the door we were told no other tables were available but within minutes a table was available. Not once did a member of staff ask was everything okay. The food is overpriced in my opinion and not done to a standard you would expect, very small steak with 3 onion rings and a handful of frozen chip £25 we didn’t even bother with puddings all absolutely freezing wouldn’t go back.

Excellent food The food and menu choice is amongst the best in the area. We were 7 and each dish was very much enjoyed. The location has good parking and my elderly father was easily able to navigate on flat ground to the restaurant.

I'm not sure how I have lived locally to the area for 5 years and today was our first time visiting! The man who greeted us was very welcoming and friendly. They have a large selection of beers on tap, some of which are not very common in a countryside pub which was good to see. The food was excellent, very tasty and well cooked, lots of veggie options and a few vegan options too. We can't wait to to visit again, and enjoy the outside seating area with great views in the summer.

I’ve been here twice now each time I’ve visited the area and went back because of how great it was first time. Second time didn’t disappoint with a great choice of craft ales and knowledgeable staff to help you find the one for your taste buds.Food was exceptional and the atmosphere was great too. Definitely worth visiting if you are staying in the area or passing through.

First time visiting the Daffodil, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The location, views of the countryside & the decor inside were stunning, felt very homely. We ordered the Sunday lunch, and it did not disappoint, but that sticky toffee pudding ?. Could have quite easily eaten another one. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was travelling back to the West Midlands when I realised I'd left my ring in the ladies toilets. Luckily a member of staff (Hugh) went above and beyond to make sure my ring was posted to me. So thank you for the experience. Would highly recommend ?

Been here to eat for brunch a few times now and I always enjoy it. Great atmosphere and the food is always well made and tasty. Their eggs royale and lattes are especially good!

We enjoyed a wonderful evening here back in September. It was a really lovely atmosphere, we felt very welcomed and really relaxed, and we had such a fun evening! We very much enjoyed the food, loved the choice as a vegetarian, and the choice of drinks was a delight! The interior and exterior feel really special: a lovely place to be. We felt very well looked after and no pressure to hurry with our meal, just enjoy! I can’t wait to return and enjoy again!

Stunning location and exceptional food, we had lunch with our dog and received a warm welcome. Staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and steak and eggs, both perfectly prepared as we requested and their coffee is the best we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend stopping here and enjoying this hidden gem.

Owner is extremely rude and very "common". Beer is sour probably shouldn't be trying to have so many beers on offer if they cant keep 1 of them well. And the steaks all need to be cooked the same so fillet and ribeye need to be cooked same way. Even if one person likes rare and one person likes well done! Thats ridiculous never heard of that ever anywhere. Lazy owner!!!!

It’s been over 5 years since I last visited and Wow what a 360 degree turnaround as my last visit did not go well. Choose to meet up with a girlfriend here as impressed with website and menu choice (and She is still working close by). We were eating mid week out of holiday season so it was relatively quiet with only a few covers but still impressed to see a Specials Board. The main dining room was beautifully warm, light and welcoming. As was Bevin who looked after us throughout our stay, what a joyful Lady! A varied and interesting menu - we didn’t do Starters or Puddings but did enjoy the House Chai Latte, Hot Chocolate and Beetroot Latte instead! My request for ‘extra hot milk’ no issue. Our food was excellent! Chicken Katsu Curry, Spicy Halloumi Burger and House Salad. All nicely presented, Hot, full of flavour and went down a treat. So chuffed to have found another lovely Restaurant in the local area thats delivering at a high standard and so looking forward to returning in Mid November when the Daffodil reopens with their Festive Menus. ? for a thoroughly splendid lunch.

A breath of fresh air to find a well run & friendly pub. The atmosphere was excellent with unusual & tasteful decor. Being dog friendly made a huge difference so we could bring our 4 legged member of the family! The food was very well presented looking & tasting delicious. The pub is run by a husband & wife & they were friendly & attentive. This is not a cheap place to eat & drink but it is certainly value for money for the quality & service it provides. Certainly worth a visit if only on special occasions. We will be heading back in the not too distant future.
