Hidden Gem! Booked a cottage a few miles away, a quick Google of places to eat nearby and this place popped up, what a spectacular surprise it was. Gorgeous setting, fantastic staff, amazing food, could not have been happier we found it. We live over an hour away, but I'm sure we will be visiting again soon, it is well worth the drive! Definitely 5 stars.

The food was awful, inedable steak, disgusting sauce and chips were tainted with good knows what. My wife's chicken was just ok. No ambiance, and the evening was not helped by an adjacent table of ill behaved children. Nothing good to say about the evening. Would never visit again.Kid-friendliness: Full of loud children

Disgusting, unedable food with no ambiance. The whole place was scruffy, broken pots etc and the table was sticky. Didn't bother to complain as was served by children

You should be aware before you book that this restaurant now has a food hygiene rating of 2. From our initial entrance to leaving we found the staff unfriendly and unkempt. Our table was so sticky that glasses, table napkins etc. stuck to it. The service was very slow and lacked finesse. The older waitress seemed hostile and the younger waiting staff seemed only interested in chatting to young people they knew on another table . The calamari was good , the linguine vongole and the limoncello cheesecake were adequate. The chicken in masala wine was well cooked but poorly presented, and the accompanying potatoes lacked any rosemary and had a weird taste. The affogado did not seem to contain any alcohol and it was supposed to include chocolate flakes, but all we could find was chocolate dust. Overall it was a poor dining experience: the decor and furnishings lacked style and the staff did not seem to have been trained in interacting with customers. We would not go there again and would not recommend this restaurant.

Lovely restaurant. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. We both really enjoyed the lasagne with salad. Delicious! Really enjoyed the evening. It was busy so worth booking in advance.
We arrived at the restaurant reception to a very unfriendly senior waitress who took us to a table next to the kitchen entrance. We asked to be moved to a table sited in the middle of the room away from the kitchen traffic and noise of the extractor fan. We were told by this surly waitress that all other vacant tables were booked. We then approached a young waiter and young waitress who were extremely helpful and promptly moved us to a vacant table, the surly waitress challenged the young waiter who stood firm by his decision to move us. Needless to say the vacant other tables had not been prebooked and remained empty all evening. The older Surly waitress needs to go to charm school!!! I have to say the food was excellent! But the restaurant needs atmosphere.

Fantastic anniversary meal, thank so much guys ?Dietary restrictions: Superb gluten free knowledge, better than most places in main towns.Lasagna can be done gluten free but needs pre ordering! I've not managed it yet lol

My niece, great niece and their husbands were visiting me from N.Wales .The Porth and the Daffodil which are both a lot closer were not serving food thank goodness otherwise I wouldn't have remembered you!!!!They were very impressed with the appearance of your establishment after driving down the farm track!!! The young gentleman who looked after us was charming, friendly and very efficient. The food was excellent and very reasonable. Thank you for a lovely evening.
