I don't get to eat here often, however when I visit Llanelli this is a must visit restaurant, the food is delicious and the service is excellent.

"Absolutely blown away by the food and service at this Indian restaurant! From the moment we walk in, we are always greeted by the amazing staff . The flavours in every dish were perfectly balanced, showcasing the culinary mastery of the chefs. The waitstaff were attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Overall, an exceptional establishment that truly sets the standard for Indian cuisine and hospitality!"Also Monday and Tuesday evenings are even more exceptional due to getting the pleasure on Monour cooking for us . ☺️

Nice Indian good service. Food a bit tasteless we had two different curries both tame and lacking depth in flavour.

Booked here because we wanted to experience the booths told we could not sit there when arrived and shown to another table food brought quick to quick as still eating the chutney tray and wasn't finished felt like we was just rushed in and out curry was nothing special

Very disappointed, not as good as it used to be.Fewer items on the (plastic) menu,no table cloths and a flimsy paper napkin.Nothing wrong with the quality of the food, just no flavour. The meat tasted of nothing, both the chicken dish and Lamb dishes. Definitely sauce on top of generic meat.Onion Bhaji not even second rate.Good naan and decent Cobra.

Reasonably good restaurant. Location is good if you're staying near the town center, the decor is pleasant and the food is tasty and well presented. My only minor complaint was the service...not rude, but not exactly friendly or hospitable either. Could definitely up their game a bit in that area. One thing I will point out is that the food had absolutely no spice to it at all. As someone who grew up in Asia, I like my curries to be very, very, hot....my Indian curries doubly so! Unfortunately, the food here had absolutely no discernable spice whatsoever. In fairness I can't really fault them for this, because they're catering to the local palette, and if served properly their regular clientele probably wouldn't be able to eat it. But if you, like me, prefer your Indian spicey, then I'd recommend requesting it when you order.

The best Chicken Pathia I’ve had at an Indian restaurant in Wales yet, and I’ve had quite a few at different places as its my favourite dish ??

If you like your curries full of flavour and eastern spices, don't waste your money here. Food is bland and loaded with red food colouring probably to make it 'look' tasty, the cook doesn't know his Dansak from his Pataks sweet and sour.

Very tasty curry with a few nice different to the norm dishes on the menu.We will be going back ??

Went as group of 14. Despite that excellent service. Food good and arrived quickly despite our numbers. Well cooked and presented.

I’d wanted to try this restaurant for a little while but have unfortunately left there disappointed this evening. I have read previous reviews since my visit and have to agree with many others about the customer service. We really did feel unwelcome there. There was one member of staff who was very nice and pleasant. However, everyone else just couldn’t be bothered and came across as rude. We weren’t even offered glasses or straws with our bottles of Diet Coke. When ordering more drinks they were basically just thrown down on the table without even a glance or a smile. We felt like we were an inconvenience. The food was ok but nothing special. Quite pricey in comparison with other restaurants and I have to say, I have never had a chicken tikka masala like this one. It tasted like a microwave meal and the chicken was really over cooked and tough. Naan breads were lovely but that was the best bit about our meals. The food was luke warm but edible. At no point were we asked if our food was ok. We could see other customers being asked but it seems like they just didn’t care about our table at all. I definitely wouldn’t return based solely on the customer service. Even if the food had been outstanding, the lack of customer service would stop me returning. Normally when going to Indian restaurants, the staff are really friendly, pleasant and cannot do enough for you. This is not the case at Sheesh Mahal. I know they were very busy but a friendly smile or welcome costs nothing and makes your customers feel welcome. I won’t be returning unfortunately.

Went for a birthday meal. Food was delicious, service was spot on, and the atmosphere was welcoming.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options, 10+ main meal choices and plenty of starters/sides.

I am giving this place 3 stars because even though the food is very good , the service and attitude of the staff really lets it down. I know they are busy , it is very popular but the waiting staff are quite rude and abrupt and just want a quick turnover .
