The Coal House Grill

Went as a group for a special birthday. Lovely welcome, great lunchtime menu. We looked after really well. Would recommend a casual meal. Evening menu looked good value.

My daughter and I had a fantastic meal at The Coal House tonight, celebrating my daughters birthday, we had a mushroom and garlic starter, with rib eye and chips all cooked perfectly, theres a lovely atmosphere and superb service thank you, we plan on visiting you again soon thanks.

We booked at short notice and despite it being very busy on a Saturday night we were immediately made to feel welcome and seated quickly.
The food was good, very well presented and full of flavour but what was truly exceptional was the service.
From Alex, the manager and J, one of the waiting staff, personal service was exemplary, very friendly and helpful. Definitely 10/10. Thank you ladies.

Absolutely fabulous place. Such a welcome from all the staff. The menu is nice and varied, the portions are huge… and the food was simply excellent. Hubby and I had three courses including the ribeye steak which was well presented, beautifully cooked to our liking and extremely tasty…. and the garlic bread was scrumptious! We look forward to returning soon as this will definitely be a regular favourite for us.

Interesting and different menu choices. Very good food all round. Will go again.

The Coal House Grill appeared, Being one minute from the Cross Hands roundabout we thought we would give it a try, We could not have had better at £14 for a two course meal which would have put Miller and carter to shame, And half the price, The four of us all had Prawn cocktail and a Rump Steak, The Prawn cocktail was lovely and the Steak was stunning done to perfection and tender, Served with a huge onion ring, peas, some salad and chips, The meal had 5* from all of us, The drinks were reasonable the hosts bent over backwards for us, So if your heading West look no further it will be hard to beat and half the price you will pay further West, I would highly recommend the

Fabulous staff, very friendly and helpfull......Beef so so tender ..Nuff said..Will deffo be back.........

Amazing staff who went out their way to make us feel welcomed and accommodated. The food was exceptional ? and the price is appropriate for the massive quantity. Highly recommend it and will definitely visit again when I'm back in Wales. Thank you for everything guys (from the whole family). ?

Had a tasty, well presented mixed grill and a pint with paté to start. Staff were attentive. It was early evening, so a bit too soon for atmosphere hence the score.

Will visit again soon.

Booked very last minute on a Saturday. The carpark is a little rough, but the pub more than makes up for it. The landlord is fab, with a great sense of humour. Nothing was too much trouble. Very good food and good range of drinks. Definitely will be back.

This was a fantastic experience the staff are so lovely and work so well together and really focus upon customers the food was superb and really good value they even went the extra mile to provide a birthcake at very very short notice This is a lovely restaurant a must for a meal
