Lovely cute little rooms in an oldy worldy house that provides great food. Priced accordingly - quality setup!

Highly recommend. Went two days in a row with my son. Place has had a bit of a makeover based on Google maps photos. Lovely understated cafe serving great coffee and breakfasts.

Went for breakfast here on 25th February after staying close by in Betws y coed, got to say one of the tastiest breakfast we have had and at a very reasonable price too, staff very warm and welcoming and food delicious would highly recommend for breakfast. If i was every staying close by this would be my go to place for breakfast

Great little local cafe, great food, a well decent brew too. It can get busy so advisable to book.

I've visited Hen Aelwyd a few times because it is local to me but also a great place to meet friends, the coffee is good and all the meals I've had here either from the menu, or the specials board, were delicious and made with care.

We've passed this cafe so many times, I don't know what has taken us so long. We had Welsh rarebit today, one with bacon and one with mushrooms and it was perfect comfort food for an icy cold day. The chips were also probably the best we've had in years, crispy outside with fluffy insides, like chips used to be! The waitress was also very patient with us practicing our Welsh and was helpful and clear with her replies. I will be recommending Hen Aelwyd Cafe ;-) The perfect morning. An hour in Flutterby Fabrics, then lunch at Hen Aelwyd Cafe. A new tradition!

Lovely breakfast here in the outdoor seating area. Nice coffees (with oat milk, yay) and tasty food. Went on a Tuesday morning maybe around 11am. Food took a little while but worth the wait.

We stayed at adventure Park snowdonia and googled cafes for a breakfast as the food facilities were awful there.I looked at a fair few and this came up and I saw vegetarian options as my partner and son are both so thought we'd give it a go.....Wow absolutely wow unreal best breakfast we've ever eaten. Cheese on toast, veggie sausage and egg bap, vegetarian breakfast and regular breakfast extra black pudding mug of tea came to 25 pound fantastic price especially when you get 2 lovely ladies serving you feels so homely in there. Would highly recommend this placeVegetarian options: Vegetarian sausage was beautiful, meat free. Not an actual vegetable sausage like some

Quaint cafe in the middle of Llanwrst, serving delicious breakfast.Staff are friendly and service was efficient. The big full breakfast was well cooked. Possibly the best hash brown I've ever had as it was freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. The Welsh rarebit was tasty and filling with a hint of mustard.Check the special boards for dishes not on the menu such as the avocado, mushroom and tomatoes on toast (can be topped with additional bacon or halloumi for a vegetarian option.Coffee was nice too, the Latte was freshly brewed.Additional seating upstairs as there is limited seating downstairs.

I had some time to spend whilst car at garage. With the library closed, I found a warm welcome at Yr Hen Aelwyd, on the recommendation of a friend. The staff were lovely and the breakfast and coffee wonderful. It is a lovely environment, clean and well maintained. I think I'll be returning regularly! I enjoyed an Oat milk cappuccino and veggie breakfast, as shown. Yum.
