Driving through mid Wales and we needed to stop. This place in Builth Wells is wonderful. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. They had the football on the big screens and the atmosphere was superb! As a family we were really glad we had a pit stop here! Thoroughly recommend.

My daughter in law could only eat about 2 inches of her fish as it was overcooked and dry. When she returned it she was asked if she'd like another or a different dish. She asked for a lasagne as my son's looked nice. When the lasagne was brought to the table by the man behind the bar, he asked for it to be paid for, as she'd eaten a small part of the fish! She told him to keep the lasagne!There were 7 of us in the group and I'd paid the best part of £100 for lunch! This attitude is appalling! Before leaving I asked to see the manager, who was unavailable, so the bar tender came instead. I asked for a refund for the fish that was returned. I did receive a full cash refund for my daughter in law's meal, but no apology. Dreadful attitude. The meals that the rest of the party had weren't anything to write home about either!Overall poor, I gave one star out of generosity!We won't revisit.
