The new people here took over in Feb 2023. We booked a table for 4 on a Sunday evening and we were ever so pleasantly surprised and impressed by the gorgeous food, cooked by Darla! The menu was great, we had Spaghetti Carbonara, Hunters Chicken, Irish Soda Bread with a fabulous dip made with Guinness (yummy)! We all also had homemade chips, which were the best I’ve ever had! To follow, we had Tiramisu and Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was also delicious (not sweet and sickly)...read full review
Étant français, donc exigeant sur la nourriture, nous avons tous été surpris par la qualité des plats. La cuisson était parfaite, des plats bien préparés, équilibrés. Le tout fait maison avec une équipe conviviale. Je ne peux que recommander ! Je reviendrai avec plaisir, bravo

Despite the very unassuming appearance of the pub from the outside, the food exceeds all expectations. A lot of care was put into the preparation of all our dishes. Really glad we booked our one night's meal in Builth Wells at The Barley Mow.
