We decided to try The Red Lion, after a family recommendation. The pub has recently changed hands and it seems that the new team are really doing a great job. We shared the garlic mushrooms to start, which was very well presented and very tasty - maybe could have done with a bit more garlic for me, but overall a lovely starter. Greeted well by (I think Katie), Looked after by every member of staff we encountered. Piping hot beautiful food, still at 5pm (Which is rare at the end of a carvery) The meat was well prepared and of a high quality, the beef in fact was one of the best I’ve ever had. I then had cheese cake dessert, again up there it’s one of the best. I can’t recommend enough, Go early to avoid disappointment, and go hungry!!!
