I'm really surprised when searching top Chinese takeaway in Newport that this doesn't come up at no1. Me and some since-birth newportians had food from here last night and we all agreed it was the best. Not at all greasy, tasty and perfectly cooked, good portions, and those prawns!! Also I highly recommend the prawn toast
Bella is amazing! and her high standards make sure everyone is served great dishes every time.(Back in 1990-92 as a student, Bella trained me in her kitchen to share her high standards. I’ve since visited with my family, and her food is as fresh, and delicious as ever)

I'm old school and love the Wok Inn when I used to live that side of Newport. Now in Malpas Ive got the Koks Wok nearby (which is pants) so thought I'd try out the old Chinese. Wow. Did not disappoint. Good size portions and old school taste. LOADS of meat! The shop looks really dated and in need of a refurb, but don't judge a book by its cover... Especially in this case.
