Lovely staff very welcoming and kind, great place to watch the sports, food is simply delicious and drinks are good priced, nice room upstairs for parties and even a Skittles alley. Really nice pool table I love playing on it each time I go in there and going to this pub. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to go to a great pub then here's the place for you.
Close to Newport County's football ground. Good choice of beers and food is also served Sky Sports available, although I was puzzled by the match choice, Celtic v Hearts, when the last day of the Championship season was on. Must be something to do with Cardiff being a Championship Club !! ?

Popped into the Dodger for a meal and drink while staying 1 night in Newport. I have to say the food was excellent perfectly cooked beer prices very reasonable staff were all so friendly. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Also Very refreshing to go in a pub with all the old traditions present snacks on the wall to purchase. Lovely top marks have recommended to anyone staying in the Chepstow Road area of Newport
