Pubs in Newtown
“I love this pub it hasn't changed with time or given in to crass commercialism. A proper pub where you get a descent pint and meet old and new friends.”
“Lovely no nonsense pub. Friendly staff and customers alike. Great range of beers at a sensible price.”
“After the flood, the pub/restaurant have pulled out all the stops to get operating again and they've done a great job. It's good to be back! We had Sunday lunch today. just a main course and some drinks. The roast beef dinner was perfect as usual, just the right amount of pink in the meat and fresh, delicious, perfectly seasoned veg. I was tempted, but there was something new on the menu - tempura battered chicken chilli burger. - Oh it was stunning. Not your usual Sunday lunch, but perfect!”
“Love this pub! Friendly, local, welcoming. The staff always give the best service. Food is amazing. Dog friendly and very child friendly.”
“I feel honoured to be drinking in a pub home of the British National Domino Champions 1986, it’s a wonder they could see the spots with the great choice of beers on sale! Tucked away off the Main Street and only a stones throw from the birthplace of Robert Owen, this place is a must for any real ale drinker. Can’t comment on the atmosphere due to limited numbers in today.”
