The Rowan Tree Cafe
The Ridgeway, Lamphey, PembrokeFantastic coffee, salad and pizza in a relaxed environment. I'm coeliac and the staff were really good about what was gluten free. An unexpected bonus as a result of a delayed ferry to Ireland ?

Cwtch Coffee
23 Dimond St, Pembroke DockThis place is a Gem.
Absolutely LOVE the atmosphere. It's cash only which I think is fantastic! (No card fees eating into their margins and having to overcharge customers because of it). The food feels comforting and honest. The coffee is the best in town.
By going there, you feel you’re supporting a local, independent business directly and supporting the community. I visit as often as I can when I am in the area.

Watermans Arms
2 The Grn, PembrokeOur walking group's 'Christmas lunch' was successful here last year do went again. Needed to choose your food in advance since there were 10 of us. Fair enough. Everything is cooked freshly so service isn't fast. The young woman serving was helpful. Good service. My daughter was the only one to have a starter, soup of the day, no idea what it was, but she tasted various vegetables and said it was very pleasant. She had fried chicken and sweet potatoes, I had burger with blue cheese and bacon with a lovely fresh salad and fries, others had vegetable currie, chicken and burger. There was a large choice of puddings including sticky toffee, I had jam rolly poly which was great with custard, other choices were Eton mess and several ice-cream coupes. Very quiet so no atmosphere except from our group but couldn't fault the food or service. Meals are served in the rear room overlooking the Mill Pond and for once lately it wasn't raining despite a deluge being forecast.
Good fresh food and nice service.

Brown's Cafe
51 Main St, PembrokeA little piece of history in Pembroke, that has moved with the times and offers a gluten free menu, and a vegan menu including puddings! I had the vegan shepherd's pie and it was delicious.
The decor is like travelling back in time - absolutely loved it! Lovely, friendly and attentive service despite being busy at lunchtime. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

Top Of The Town
126 Main St, PembrokePopped in last night for cod and chips & Irish curry sauce and I can honestly say it was the best I've had in a very long time. Everything cooked to perfection, went for the small cod which was anything but small, ordered the medium chips but was recommended to downsize by the lady serving due to their large portion sizes, most wouldn't have bothered. Everything is cooked fresh so prepare for a 5-10 minute wait. They know all their regulars by name, just a really good vibe throughout.
Cannot recommend this place enough, everything a chippy should be.
They accept card and cash but have posters up stating their preferred method of payment being cash so if you're able to pay cash I'm sure that would be appreciated.

The Stackpole Inn
Jasons Corner, Stackpole, PembrokePicture this 'a fiercely windy walk along the coast of Pembrokeshire. Cold. Damp. Strolling into a local pub in aid of warmth'
This is where the Stackpole Inn stepped up for us.
Not only that, but on St David's day where they had Cawl and singing to celebrate.
We found our warth along with some of the best hospitality I've seen in a long time.

Will's
18 Main St, PembrokeStumbled across this lovely looking café whilst hungrily looking for somewhere to eat - we certainly wasn't disappointed.
The milkshakes are to die for - 10/10 and the food was really yummy.
I had the tuna melt jacket potato with side salad and coleslaw. A massive portion for the money and really delicious.
Atmosphere is really nice, lovely cosy warm interior and staff very friendly and welcoming.

Waterloo House Games & Coffee
Games & Coffee, Waterloo House, 34 Main St, PembrokeLovely café on the Main Street in the heart of Pembroke with street seating. Very good coffee and generous portions of both ice cream and cake, of which the latter was homemade and delicious.
I don't play board games except with my kids, but the availability of a chess board is always a welcome sight in a café.

Jacks at The Longhouse
The Longhouse Freshwater Bay, East Holiday Village, Freshwater East, PembrokeFood is fair price. Good range of drinks on draft. Plenty of seating. Shame it wasn't very clean. The men's was a state and all tables on the decking area needed a wipe down. Considering it was before the main lunch period when I visited, simple cleanliness is key

The Boathouse Tea-room
Stackpole, PembrokeI had a reasonably good breakfast here. Had a scone with jam and clotted cream, and a coffee, also a bacon bap. The bap was ok, rather dry but tasty. The coffee was excellent. The scone was dry and crumbly; but tasted good enough, although the clotted cream was rather on the stiff side.
It was a beautiful morning, and a robin came to share my scone with me. Everyone around me was friendly and smiley, which made for a mostly good morning. Shame the young man at the counter had a rude attitude — it left a bit of a sour aftertaste. Thankfully, the rest of the experience made up for it.

Pembroke Tandoori
48 Main St, PembrokeThis restaurant is a quiet hidden gem in west wales.
I dont know why that is.
Because the food is delicious.
The Bhangladeshi proprietor and chef certainly knowes his trade.
The various bir style dishes are exemplary.
I chose a Chicken Jhalfrezi.
It was a good portion size and had lots of tender chicken in it.
It had that all so familiar thick rich sauce.
You could taste various spice flavoured notes in the dish.
A lot of restaurants now omit certain spices to save money....and it showes in the dish by being bland.
The Saag Bhaji and the Aloo Methi sides were excellent to....
As was the Keema naan.
We were served by a lovely lady who was friendly, chatty and attentive.
If you have never been to Pembroke Tandoori.
Why not give it a try.
You wont be disappointed at all.....
