Whilst staying in the nearby three cliffs campsite we were looking for some "pub food" with our extended family including 2 young children and a dog. The Southgate was just what we needed, delicious food for all (including sausages for the dog) and the staff were so welcoming. So much so that me, my husband and the dog visited a few days later for round two. Again 5 stars all the way.Definitely recommend ? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Few minutes walk from the Gower coastal path, a lovely picturesque walk from Three cliffs bay campsite, stunning views along the way and such a nice friendly pub. The sun was shining as we sat in the beer garden terrace, great choice of beers and cider. Large menu and our meals were delicious, lamb chops decent size and local. Highly recommend stopping here.

Good range on menu including veggie/vegan - unusual in other parts of rural Wales I've found. Extremely friendly and well organised staff team. We were lucky in finding them hosting a young funky jazz band, Full Phat. Catch them if you can. The next night they were at the Mumbles.Vegetarian options: We shared halloumi chips with dip starter. Excellent.
