This is just such a nice place to stay in a fab part of the country, they also put up with land rovers and mud (don’t worry they have a car park out the back where we hide them) and 4 off us in the group and it’s in a great location for a base for green laneing. The food is excellent and the service great, rooms are spacious and well presented. One day I will visit and just laze around in the lounge drinking tea ..... If your thinking of booking … then just book ….

We stayed for a lake retreat package for 1 night. Everything about the Lake House was just perfect. It was quiet, laid back and very comfortable. The room was huge, the spa was nice and the treatments we had were just what we both needed. Dinner was amazing and the breakfast selection was enough to please everyone's apatites. I look forward to returning again.

My husband and I had a lovely experience here as a wedding gift, we had the romantic day for two package which included afternoon tea, spa use and a 1 hr full body massage.I had possibly the best massage I've ever had with Oxana, she was really thorough and so lovely. My husband however didn't have a great experience, he asked for a firm massage but felt like he had a soft one - a shame but we can't really complain when it was a gift. The afternoon tea was lovely, we really enjoyed the cakes and sandwiches. My only qualm is the area was a bit dusty, but the place is absolutely massive so I'm sure it's hard to keep on top of.The grounds were stunning, you can walk in there for food too. The spa was lovely, we were the only ones using it at the time which was nice. The sauna and steam room were great! The hot tub was nice, had a really lovely view of the lake with the swans on ducks - the jets were VERY strong which was nice for a pre-massage on your feet and back!I would definitely recommend this place, though if we had paid we would've said something about my husband's massage and maybe asked for Oksana to do him too.

I have stayed in many lovely hotels but the staff here are outstanding. They are all charming without exception. It was such a beautiful environment with attention to detail everywhere Its so calm and peaceful and the rooms are lovely and the terrace in the sun exquisite. My only complaint is the size of the jacuzzi which is very small indeed with little water and would need a water change every day to ensure it was clean. It is the size of a household jacuzzi not a hotel one and so if two people are in there it would not be feasible for a third ( just too intimate!) it is lovely that it is outside but sadly misses the view of the lake as too high up. That said, what an exceptionally welcoming place where you will feel truly cared for.

We very often go for lunch at the Lake Country House Hotel and every time it is a lovely experience. Today we decided to go for Sunday lunch and it was the best Sunday lunch we have had by a mile. I can’t recommend it enough. Apart from the lunch being superb, the whole experience certainly does not disappoint. We have to travel a little distance to get there, but it is worth it and we shall be back very soon.

My 3 night stay at the Lake Country House & Spa was wonderful. It was my first time at this stunning hotel. My room was a lodge Suite which was spacious, with a large walk in shower, and a deep bath, which was heaven to soak in after the many Welsh walks. Hotel staff are very warm and friendly. I was greeted on my arrival with a big smile welcome, and then shown to my corner Suite which had lovely views over the hotel grounds. I took many a walk around the lake and along the river. Breakfast in the conservatory room was delightful, large windows over looking the grounds. I didn’t have dinner , as I was visiting my brother and his partner who have moved to this outstandingly pretty part of Wales. However, we did have Sunday lunch, which was superb, credit to the chef. It was a nice touch to have drinks in the lounge prior to lunch, sampling one or two of the many cocktails, which were served with complimentary Hors d’oeuvres. I didn’t get time to book a treatment in the Spa but I did take a tour of the facilities, which were excellent…next time ! I will most definitely be back to stay at this little gem of a hotel.

Staff are all so lovely and welcoming! The hotel is beautiful and the grounds stunning to walk around. We have been before for afternoon tea and we used the spa a couple of years ago which was also amazing! We stayed for one night as an exceptional treat for us following five nights camping in North Wales. Our dog was also welcomed at the hotel with separate dining areas for those who had dogs! However, we were disappointed with our bedroom. We stayed in Gwen on the first floor in the main building. The decor was tired looking in the main bedroom, and just felt very basic, we had two single beds pushed together, the bathroom was dark and dingy with the bath panel and shower screen being v worn. Shower pressure was very poor. The room was also very warm, the window had to be wide open the entire time. For the price we were paying we felt v disappointed. Having said this the sheets and towels were all clean. We would stay again but will request a better room.

Away from it all in a beautiful setting . We enjoyed our 2 night stay , evening meals & breakfast .. all cooked with top quality produce.. Staff are all very professional & helpful .. smiles from everyone . The spa-& pool area are located a pleasant walk from the main building by the lake ..swim & jacuzzi with a view . I liked the walks through the woodland & down to the river .. would definite return for another relaxing break .

A beautiful place and we loved every minute. the staff and service was exceptional and we were treated very well. absolutely loved it. the only reason I dropped a star on the room was because the bathroom was a little tired and poor workmanship on the floor tiling, but that is not a big issue and didn't affect our stay.

We received a warm welcome at the hotel & were shown to our room giving information on dining times, spa etc. We were allocated Lodge 7 for the weekend. A lovely spacious, comfortable suite. The Spa area is in a separate building near to the lake & has a lovely pool, sauna, steam & hot tub. There areas to sit & relax along with a small gym. The gardens are lovely walk around too. We opted to dine in the hotel & we were not disappointed. Excellent friendly service throughout the dining experience on both evenings. Great food. Breakfast again had great service and a good choice of breakfast options both cooked & cold. All staff were fantastic. The only thing that I found a little disappointing was the lack of attention in the cleaning of the room & I also thought more constant tidying & cleaning could have been done in the pool/changing room area. Otherwise a great stay. The only thing that

First time and we will be back. We stayed as were attending Royal Welsh Show and were blown away by our room (Powys), lovely welcome and staff made a fuss of our son who turned 10 whilst we were there. Food was beautiful and the service was faultless. Canapes in lounge was a lovely touch whilst we reviewed the menu. We used the pool and hot tub and had a relaxing time. The ground are beautiful. Defo won't be last time we stay.

Beautiful peaceful location with wonderful gardens, very friendly and attentive staff, nice accommodation, comfortable lounges and dining rooms. A great place place to stay with a lovely Spa overlooking the lake. The food was excellent with great staff looking after us. Spoke with the owner of this family run hotel who was clearly a professional hotelier.
