Called in with a group of adults with learning disabilities, was served promptly, the staff took their time talking to them, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and freshly cooked with large portions and more chips were given if requested. A bargain at less than £30 for 5 of us, that was 2x small fish and chips and 3x regular fish and chips with mushy peas, bread and butter and a drink each. Staff very friendly

I went to the town fryer because Les and Rita’s was shut, I can only say how surprised I was the fish was massive, the chips were just right and the whole meal was deliciousMy family had Les and Rita’s when it was The Dolphin in the late 70s so I know what to look for not just the taste and presentation.The food, service and atmosphere are second to none, do your taste buds a favour and try the best for less ?

We called in today and it was a cold wet Saturday. As soon as we stepped into the place our hearts lifted. A warm welcome from the staff, who were all amazing, they came to our table, took our order and Brough out our tea and coffee and cutlery within a couple of minutes.We both ordered fish and chips with mushy peas.This was the best fish and chips that I can remember eating, the food was hot and tasted great, even the tea and coffee was delicious.
