After a busy day at work I just wanted some simple grub and a pint or two. I failed in the latter (see my review of the Vale) but Tony's came up trumps on the food front: It's not the most glamorous establishment and to be honest I might have given it a miss had it not been for the glowing TA reviews: Menu tacked to the wall (with no mention of "fish") and other "Cash only" notes taped all over - it didn't bode well. Note: It's a cash only establishment. The nearest cash ATM is at the Shell Garage opposite the shop.I visited this place for the second time, and it's a great chippy with a decent menu, including some curries. The first time was only a few weeks ago when I went to the Chippy/Chinese Tynewydd Road and they were closing when I got in queue, so I visited here. I had Fish and Chips on both occasions. Delicious. I'll be getting all of my takeaways from here when I want a chippy tea.

Really tasty fish and chips! Nice service from the man behind the till. Was 20p short as didn’t know was cash only and he helped me choose something for me and the kids within the cash I had on me. Thank you so much
