Wanted to try somewhere different and it wasn't worth it. Food wasn't boiling hot when it arrived, chips were like cardboard inedible and the naan was small. Poppadoms were stale. We had delivery which was stated for 6.40 and it didn't arrive until 7.20. I know things can hold you up and busy but if the Food was worth the wait it wouldn't of been so bad. Don't recommend at all.

They may have changed their name recently, but, a highly recommended Indian restaurant and takeaway. Never had a bad meal meal there. Fantastic.

Had a delivery. Fair play, they delivered on time. Very small portions. Half a bag of chips. Naan was half the size of the usual you would expect. We ordered spring rolls and they put two tiny ones in a bag. Lamb starter was also a very small portion. Jalfrezi (which is usually a spicy tomato sauce) was creamy - found that odd. Both my wife I and I had bad stomachs the next day. Would never order from there again

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taj Mahal restaurant , and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

My regular place to dine and chill.I really enjoyed it. For the first time after a flurry of bad experiences in other places, I tried this place.Every dish I tried was superb ?We ordered many dishes, starters and side orders with nan bread.Wow, I was super impressed by both presentation and flavour of the food. Even decent portions that left me satisfied.Been a few times since and I was never disappointed. I highly recommend.

Having lived in Sketty Cross for three decades, we decided to give the newly rebranded Taj Mahal a go this past Friday the 27th. We've travelled past a few times to see it was quite empty, wondering if it was a sign of poor quality. Don't make the same assumptions we did; the quality of the Taj Mahal is on par with the local greats (Vojon, Killay Spice). Considering we were the only ones eating, we got incredibly quick service from friendly staff members. The decor is lovely; not quite as boujie as the resteraunts mentioned previously, but it has a more modern atmosphere, and a clean look fitting of its smaller size. (Unrelated, but the Taj are doing very succesffully on Takeouts, as we discovered sitting in the resteraunt!) Started with popadoms and the chutney tray: came with the standard Mango Chutney, Mint Raiti, Coconut Chutney (a vibrant green), chopped onions, and my favourite Lime Pickle - rarely done at most places. Mains were split between my and my companion: a Kochi Murgh (Chicken) and a Chicken Shashlik. Both came out perfectly. Kochi had glassy crispy onions ontop of a peppery sauce, chicken was fresh and cooked to perfection. Shashlik had a wonderful smokey flavour, and gorgeous tandoori look. Paired with a side order of Brinjal Bhaji (a personal favourite that's only available at a few resteraunts, wonderfully put together), egg rice (crispy and fresh) and a plain naan (airy and crisp). Meal was perfectly sized for the pair of us, and were well presented. Paired with two alcoholic drinks and a portion of chips, the meal came to 46£, or 23 each. An absolute bargain for two mains, sides, sundries, popadoms and drinks. If you've been on the fence regarding giving the Taj a go, absolutely make it your next eating destination. In walking distance of the long standing Vivian Arms and the pleasent Bar 47.
