We stopped off here on our bike packing trip around the Gower Peninsula. We were greeted with a lovely cosy interior and friendly staff. The place had a community feel to it and the vibe was very relaxing. I had a carrot cake and took a flapjack for the journey, both were delicious (the carrot cake especially moist and tasty). We were then tempted by the breakfast, I had the veggie brekfast wrap which was delicious and served promptly, the two others in the party had the full breakfast which they both enjoyed, great coffee too. All in all, a perfect pitstop! Would love to try the pizza next time.

My first visit to Swansea, a friend recommended this place to me. Really nice Lebanese cuisine, we had the sharing platter of rice, salad, naan and mixed grill for two.

They certainly don't let you go hungry here! That was an incredibly generous portion and at an amazing price. The meat was really well-cooked and seasoned. I'd certainly recommend it.

Super lovely staff going out of their way to fulfil your wishes. Very friendly and flexible, they moved us to a nice spot we asked to change to, when we arrived for a bday party! The food is delicious with lots of locally sourced ingredients even organic ones and also authentic Spanish ingredients and homemade bread! We really enjoyed it! We’ve never been to gorseinon, so the place was smaller and narrower and not as cosy as we expected from photos. Lots of nice little touches though such as tiles, blankets, cushions, candles, games etc.and quirky decor and biodegradable where they can be! We really enjoyed our visit, thank you. Recommended, good prices for good food and wine! Wish there were more places like this nearer us!

This is my must-go/must-have place for fish and chips if I visit Swansea. Definitely one of best fish and chips I have ever had for a quite long time.

The food is freshly done while you wait in the shop and it is hot and fresh! Fish is super fresh (you can taste a bit sweetness) with the crunchy batter outside, just so perfectly done! The chips are so tasty and I do love the sweetness of the potato, just so nice and to be honest, so far this is one of my most favourites (I am quite picky on how chip is cooked). The scampi, definitely worth a try, so tasty! The Irish curry is the best combo/compliment to eat with, the spicy is not too hot but just right!

The portion (is huge compared with the price I paid back home) for the price is very economical friendly. The staff there are so nice and friendly.

Overall, I highly recommend this place and definitely deserve a visit back if you give a try!

I ordered a sirloin steak medium rare and a jacket potato. The steak was cooked perfectly and the potato was a decent size and nicely cooked (some places are over cooked and dry).

With so many good options for thai food in south wales, I find it hard to justify the prices in Thai Bach.

The food is pretty good. But the atmosphere doesn't lend itself to a overall nice experience.

Last time I arrived there was no music playing, and it took 2 or 3 minutes for the staff to realise I was standing and waiting to be seen.. they were doing something in the kitchen and the restaurant was empty.

I went a couple of years back and it all matched up, price to quality ratio etc..

Last time I went I felt extremely shortchanged for the overall experience.

Visited this pub as an away supporter watching Preston North End near the Swansea stadium. I was pleasantly surprised by how welcomed my group were. Some of the local lads shared chats and banter with us, it was a good atmosphere with karaoke on and a live group. Lots of helpful and friendly interactions and advice on where to go out and about for our overnight stay from the pub locals. Staff were great in particular a lovely young lady called Stacey, who made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Overall a good pub and friendly atmosphere. Thankyou ?

We got here a little early to find our table was already setup and waiting for us, there were a family of 4 we all sat down to enjoy our lunch. The staff promptly took our drinks order which took a few minutes to arrive whilst we were all browsing through the menus. I placed the order. We didn't have to wait to long for the starters to be served. The starters were cleared. The mains followed shortly after, and it was great. Chicken was covered in BBQ/Bacon & loads of cheese, Deep dished Lasagne & a double stacked Burger all served with chips. We were asked several times if all was OK - it was, and drinks orders were taken when needed and arrived within a few minutes as well. I cleared my plate and finished off a few others - and left satisfied.

For £5.99 for a meal, it's a great deal.

The food is pretty much always very decent, I've had this maybe 25+ times, all different dishes and only once or twice have I found it to be lacking slightly.

Authentic Thai grub, cooked by a small army or small Thai women. I love the vibe.

Well worth a visit.
The indoor market is worth a visit for many reasons, but this alone is up there.

I get it once a week for me and my wife, and £18 odd pounds provides a dinner, and next days lunch for us both.

Good value.

A lovely restaurant at the lower end of Mumbles, just next to the water access slipway.
Nice view across the bay if you get a seat near the window, or outside, but it tends to be very busy at the weekends.
Great staff, eager to attend to every need, and aesthetics is very nice, it feels like good quality across the board, even the toilets were well kept.
The food was gorgeous - very large portions as well, but keep a space for dessert, as their ice cream sundaes are amazing!
Not much space for wheelchair access, but no steps, so I'm sure the ever helpful staff would happily accommodate you if asked.
Limited gluten free options, I was surprised that the sandwich/baguette section didn't have a gluten free option.
There are a few vegetarian options, but again not extensive. The two veggie dishes we went for were delicious. They have specials on the board, so look out for those for extra options.
Car park next to (100yds) the restaurant is pay and display, charges are standard for Mumbles area.
It's a bit of a walk from here to the shops and other places of interest in the area, but still a lovely place to eat if out for a day in Mumbles.

Vegetarian options: There are some veggie dishes, and extras on the specials board, but not a wide array of choices

Parking: Public pay and display car park 100 yards from the restaurant - standard prices for the area. Plenty of spaces when we visited on a Saturday afternoon

Gigi Gao's Favourite Authentic Chinese

I heard a lot of people, Jay Rayner amongst them, saying how good Gigi Gao’s Restaurant is, and you know what, they’re right! I went there with my partner on 17th January for lunch on a bitterly cold day. As soon as we walked through the door, the experience starts off brilliantly with totally over the top bright Chinese decor of pandas, lucky Chinese tassels, and huge beautiful red diaphanous ribbons adorning the ceiling. Gigi herself greeted us, wearing a shimmering dress! So far, so very, very good, but what of the food? We had a shared starter of dipable spring rolls, Chinese pastries all of which were quite enjoyable. For mains we had Lemon Chicken, Lamb in leeks, and a large dish of bean sprouts and both of us enjoyed what we had. I ordered Banana Fritters to finish and they were tasty without being too sweet. With a Tsingtao beer, the bill came to £63. Took some pics of the restaurant but none of the food, but the pic of the empty plate shows we ate all the food! We both thought the meal good and just the ticket for a cold January day. Will definitely return.

Rossi's Original

Rossi's has been a staple of Swansea fast food for a very long time, arguably built far too early considering how undeveloped the surrounding area was for decades.
Rossi's is fast, convenient and access from the main A4067 and surrounding area is easy.
I've never particularly rated Rossi's chips, you always feel like they could be better but never quite sure how. A little longer in the fryer, higher temp perhaps, a few degrees more in the storage bins, chips are a complicated business to get perfect and few chippies regularly nail it.
Rossi's used to use powdered salt which just caked on top of the chips and ruined them but I'm glad they changed suppliers there.
Fish is cooked fresh most of the time, and this is important.
My regular visit is for a chip butty at lunchtime and this is where Rossi's do it right, they keep the buns wrapped and on the counter and thus at room temperature - other chippies put them in the fridge which chills the chips - nobody likes that.
The food is reasonably priced and we sometimes enjoy sitting in too, the restaurant area has recently been revamped and is a pleasant place to grab some breakfast or lunch.
Overall it's not the best chippy in the world, few are, but what it does do it does consistently well and I'm sure I'll be going there for many years to come.

We took advantage of the Sunday saver menu and staff added a couple of options for us that were vegan but not listed. They were really friendly, helpful and also knowledgeable about what could be eaten on a vegan diet which gave us confidence in ordering. The food was delicious and we will definitely visit again. Came here with my boyfriend after a few drinks out. There were a couple of customers threatening and shouting racist coments at the staff and trying to take food that wasn't theirs. They were horrible but the staff handled it really professionaly. They didn't escalate the situation at all and were staying positive throughout it. I'll be coming here more often from now on, everyone working here is lovely and I hope that their night was better after those horrible people left.

Had the most polite and wonderful girl serve me in the drive thru. Very well mannered lady and very demure. As I pulled to the window, she repeated my order to me to assure me it was correct, she promoted the cake pops which I’m glad I decided to have because they were to die for!
I will definitely be calling to this Starbucks again, all thanks to a lovely girl named Amelia.

Food was how you expect it which was great, the staff were polite and happy, the only criticism on the day I visited staff were wiping their hands in their trousers and their trousers looked grubby in that area.1. Wear aprons or 2. Wash your hands every 15 minutes or so. I only noticed after I received my food and I was dubious about eating my food but I did as I was starving. Not sure I'd go back as it has put me off.

When I was growing up my mum used to take us here on our birthdays for a treat. I always had a Knickerbocker glory for pudding. This place fell off my radar for about 30ish years then though.
So I was in Swansea and remembered this place and thought I'd try it out again.

Well it didn't disappoint at all. The food, service and atmosphere are amazing.

It took me back to being a kid again. It is now my favourite place to eat in Swansea.

But wanted to thank Oliver for being so helpful in serving us our food and answering our questions and sorting us a table fairly quickly. The food is delicious and high quality. We have just spent a wonderful hour and a half at the Callatis Restaurant, Loughor. For a little village this restaurant gives a taste of the best restaurants in Swansea. We had the Sirloin Steak which was almost an inch thick and deliciously cooked to perfection (medium). The side salad has a dressing that Mike perfected himself and was magnificent. We thought that was all excellent. Then came the desert. The Strawberry cheesecake was to die for, and the profiteroles were out of this world. Wonderful meal, absolutely delicious sweet, next time we will try their starters. The Service throughout was excellent and to quote my wife it was like being with friends. Thanks Maggie and Mike. This really is a venue not to miss.

Where is Slice’s Michelin star?

My fiancé took us here for our engagement dinner in August. We’ve been to plenty one, two and three Michelin starred places, Slice is definitely competes with some of the best. Dishes were cooked perfectly, delicate tastes and well thought out dishes. The paired wine were great too. Lindsey was warm and friendly which added to the overall amazing experience. Whenever I’m in Swansea, I’ll definitely come again, da iawn!

Lovely local restaurant. If you look at the menu online, they're usually just as many extra options on their specials board too. Staff are friendly and attentive. I like that you can take your own wine - and we took prosecco so they got us some flutes which was great. All 3 courses were good that I had - the only minor disappointment is the bread with our soup was actually supermarket seeded sliced bread rather than freshly baked crusty bread.
