Another wonderful visit to the Royal Oak . Rooms clean and tidy and provide everything you need , staff always polite and helpful , front view rooms are always spacious with a great view and the food never fails to impress . It’s the kind of place you never want to leave but always look forward to returning . Thank you all so much
Hotel was amazing in every aspect. Customer service was incredible. Jennifer from reception couldn’t of been more helpful and friendly, Claire from the restaurant was the nicest, most helpful waitress we’ve ever had, providing incredible service our whole stay. We can’t wait to come back again, highly recommend and what an amazing location.

Why is it all Joules pubs are so good? This one certainly does not disappoint apart from the understandable 4:00 pm opening on a Thursday afternoon. Only the two cask ales on today but the Blonde ale is such an easy drinker. Well worth a visit if only to read up about the history of the place - a truly impressive building.
