Had fish and chips a few times now, chips fresh and crispy, real cod in golden crispy batter. As a former chip shop manager I’m very fussy, this is by far the best chippy I’ve found and would definitely recommend without hesitation.?Kid-friendliness: Today a very smiley friendly lady served us, which I know is usual for this shop, so yes I would say it’s very child friendly.?
I recently called for an evening meal, having been disappointed with the quality of my usual fryer.The shop was busy and I joined my fellow patrons but outside the door.It was worth the short wait, even if the prices were a few coppers dearer than in the city but the quality was improved both in the chips and the size of the fish.The ability to park outside was a bonus as well, so I may well be calling again.Thank you trawler captain and crew!.

This is the best fish and chip shop around. The staff are really bubbly and friendly, the chips always really fresh and I love the way they serve square fillets of fish so the fish is thicker. This is a must do for us. Try it you won’t be disappointed.
