A big shout out to my special place, The Broom Tavern, I've been frequenting it for years and always have exceptional food and a lovely welcome in a superb setting , my recent milestone birthday could only be held there , and they all certainly rose to the occasion, it was made extra special especial by Kirsty and Nicky, a night to remember! Had a lovely Christmas eve family celebration meal at the Broom Tavern. Staff were great as usual, welcoming, friendly and took great care of us. Food was fantastic, something for everyone, 89 to 29, picky to anything goes, everyone was happy. We only found the Tavern last year but now make it our go to place.

Im glad im not the only one who actually tells it like it is im now barred from the place as i dared to put a negative review but is that what this platform is for ? The landlord is very childish and will not except he has some rude staff depending on which way the wind is blowing that is

As we walked in the Tavern door. Eventually meet by a lady say WHAT DO YOU WANT. Have you booked. No but have youA table for two well she replied all these are set up but there is one in the corner if you want it.picked up a menu but told these are setup and took it off us. Food was OK but not as good as it has been and not a great choice. Similar experience last time but we thought we would give it another chance. Won't be troubling them again. Will go arround the corner to the Broom Hall. A much better welcome and the food is as good.

We've been here a few times, it's always very satisfying. For the first day of the year we ate with a special holiday menu, excellent soups and a splendid mixed cold dish! The portions are generous! The tagliatelle my husband got were overcooked, too bad! The staff are always very kind!

Christmas lunch food was disgusting, couldn’t eat any of it. Poor drinks service, waited over 40mins to order drinks, starters were inedible, beef of main course still had a pulse it was that raw, veg far too hard, couldn’t cut it, covered in sage.Cheese board was very disappointing, couldn’t even bite the crackers what ever they were made of. Mince pies we literally couldn’t cut or bite. The coffee was decent, the service was not up too much. Very disappointing. 100% avoid.
