The new owner is a horrible petty little man. He has alot of Kenilworth against him in a very short period of him taking over. I wouldn't believe a word he say either!Everyone in Kenilworth should boycott the pub!

Great venue to shelter in on yet another wet and windy night. The pace was bustling but everybody was being served quickly. Good selection of dishes to choose from on the menu.

It's an amazing feeling being in a five hundred year old pub. All the wooden structures are well maintained.

Kenilworth oldest Pub. Classic decor with lots of corners and Snugs for that classic tavern feel.

We went to the Virgins and Castle for Sunday dinner on Mother’s Day, the food was amazing, easily the best beef I’ve ever had. Really good value for money. The staff were all friendly and really helpful. I can’t wait to go back.

I have been here a couple times, the first time was a while back absolutely loved the visit, we stayed for a couple hours enjoyed the food some drinks and the great atmosphere. The staff on all occasions of visiting have been superb. It's perfect having a car park just around the corner and the historical nature of the pub fits so well in its location. Definitely would recommend anyone to go and have a good time.

Surprised by the bad reviews as I couldn't fault my visit to this lovely pub, welcoming staff and gorgeous food - i'm sure this will be a spot me and the family treat ourselves to for all the special occasions :-)
Lovely historic pub, could spend ages just exploring every nook and cranny!Delicious food (highly recommended the steak and ale pie, hit the spot) and was really chuffed to be able to have a non-alcoholic cider (driving).Team were attentive and friendly, made sure we were well looked after, especially with my 8 month old (high chair, nappy changing, and offered to make baby friendly food) - must go back one evening to hear some of their ghost stories ?

What a gorgeous experience I had!The staff and the service was top tier, really made myself & the family enjoy our time out- we went in celebration of my Nan’s birthday, she’s not had the greatest of healths so her celebrations was super special.Diverse menu, great atmosphere, super accommodating (wheelchair access, dietary options, clean facilities).Shoutout to Sarah for going above and beyond to welcome us, I’m sure we’ll be back in no time! The oldest pub in Kenilworth, glad to see it hasn’t lost its spark! :)

The pub is a lovely old building that has been brightened up by the new owners since the last time I was here. Great to see it still had its old world charm though. Staff were friendly and welcoming and a good range of beers and ales including four Everards ales are available. Can’t go wrong with Tiger or Sunchaser! They offer a good range of starters and mains which are reasonably priced, freshly prepared and the portions are generous. I had the burger and fries and couldn’t eat it all! Great place for couples, families and friends. Looking forward to our next visit ?

Absolutely shocking experience yesterday. A group of 12 of us students went together and hoped to have a really nice sit-down meal. It couldn't have been any further from.3 of our group ordered a ribeye steak, 2 medium rares, and 1 rare. They all came well done. We brought it to the attention of the waitress who didn't seem bothered whatsoever, and the manager (bald man) didn't acknowledge the issue whatsoever. No apology, he just pretended as though it didn't happen, which we all thought was quite disgraceful. Our starters (in particuparly the prawns) came after the mains. None of us could understand why, but I guess that's how this place thinks food service should be done. No offer of a replacement meal or discount at the end, just pretended as though it didn't happen.I've read and been told that management has been changed within the last couple of months, and they have completely ruined the pub. Cheap ingredients, incompetent chefs, and staff who just don't care. This may be the oldest pub in Kenilworth but that's all there is to it. Would AVOID at all costs.
