“Recently spent a week on a narrowboat on the Warwickshire Ring with a girlfriend from 50 + years ago. In July we got back in touch with each other for the first time since 1969! We had the good fortune to discover this wonderful pub and visited it four times. It's a lovely pub run and staffed by lovely people. Five stars for everything. Highly recommended.”

“Moored here overnight on my way up the flight. Nice food and beer and the service good. Interesting layout with tables set in different style 'booths' - quirky but nice. Clearly used by locals, the bar area had some interesting 'pub politics' conversations going on (putting the world to rights) - reminiscent of the days before pubs had to do food to stay in business. The locals were welcoming and friendly, as was the landlord. Sadly, my early getaway the next morning was somewhat thwarted by an empty pound a couple of locks up. However, not before the landlord, out on his morning walk, opened the gates of one the locks for me. Thank you ?”
