Great setting and we have been a few times in the summer for a drink and sat outside. Made a late decision to go for Sunday lunch - which they weren't serving - but we decided to stay anyway and eat off the standard menu. Food wasn't good - drinks were nice. People after us came in and ordered drinks, chips and garlic bread (and I thought they have been here before!). People all very friendly - so hopefully just called in on an off day.

Very welcoming pub, not a gastropub but a proper pub. Went with my goddaughter and her family for a late lunch. Good pub grub. Thank you for making us so welcome

Recently spent a week on a narrowboat on the Warwickshire Ring with a girlfriend from 50 + years ago. In July we got back in touch with each other for the first time since 1969! We had the good fortune to discover this wonderful pub and visited it four times. It's a lovely pub run and staffed by lovely people. Five stars for everything. Highly recommended.

Nice pub on the canal within a community of off-grid boat dwellers. Staff are friendly and the food was generous. I'll be back! ?

We love this traditional pub. We went again on Sunday before we took our dog for a walk along the canal towpath, we eat before we walk as the portions are so good you need to walk it off ?. I had the chicken Sunday dinner ? and my husband and daughter had other food from the menu, and there is plenty to choose from. We also asked if they could do a doggy dinner with a bit of bacon and a sausage for the dog and they were happy to, we were amazed when it came out 2 rashers and 3 sausages, to say our dog was happy was an understatement, there was that much we asked them to wrap it up and we took it for his treats on the walk. All I will say is you must visit here if you are in the area, either just out walking or on the canal on a boat, the staff are always friendly and the location is great and the pub is warm and welcoming, we will be back soon ?

We recently visited The 2 Boats with our family from a canal boat holiday. We visited in 2010 when our kids were much smaller and were so impressed we wanted to come back again in Oct 2023.What a lovely place! The food was excellent, Emma the bar lady was so friendly and helpful and the pub has kept its pub like atmosphere which is rare now. Most of the other pubs we visited were boutique type places that looked like an Ikea restaurant.A pub should look like a pub and we were not disappointed! Please keep this pub the same- its a GEM!thank you for a great experience!

What a superb canal side pub! Incredibly friendly staff, really cosy, warm and welcoming. Really good food which is first rate and reasonably priced. Ignore the gastro pubs and spend some time here. You absolutely won't regret it!

Doing the Warwickshire Ring we stopped here one night. We have been before and decided to go again even though there were a few other locals we hadn't tried before, we enjoyed it last time so why risk another place. Really lovely atmosphere in the restaurant area lies of friendly locals and a buzzing feel. Food is great for three money. 4 of us are for under £60 including drinks. Great portion sizes, seemed fresh and tasty. Left feeling full and glad we went again. Traditional in look so not a modern sleek place but if you want local pub this is the one to go to.

Visited on recommendation and not disappointed, wonderful food and couldn’t resist the Faggots. Faggots are meatballs made from minced off-cuts and offal mixed with herbs and sometimes bread crumbs. It is a traditional dish in the United Kingdom, Friendly staff and a warm welcome, lovely location

A pub which reminds me of canalside dining when I first did it 32 years ago. Boaters and locals happily chatting together, charming and pleasant staff, nothing fancy food or drinkwise, just traditional pub food and drink, but what they do is done really well. We had a home made Lasagne with a surprisingly lovely side salad (often it is literally just for appearances, but this had lots of tasty and crunchy ingredients in a glorious sweet dressing) and gooey cheese topped garlic bread. Amongst other things we had a normal chilli and a vegetarian chilli, both were delicious an enormous rack of ribs and Biscoff cheesecake which put a big smile on my face!!! Bill was smaller than I expected. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Lovely pub by the canal side. Staff are friendly and accommodating, however food took an hour to get to us.

Fab service on a hot busy day from the lovely girl behind the bar. She works so hard and always with a smile and great care. Our first visit on our narrowboat and we will be back! Delicious food too at amazing prices.
