Pretty village pub and a warm welcome from a very young member of staff . Chilly eating area but well decorated. Our food arrived, not particularly warm but just about eatable . Sadly that was the last we saw any of the staff members!! No one asked us if our food was okay and didn’t bother to clear our plates. Greeted at the restaurant and rooms reception by a friendly hostess who confirmed our room reservation.A walk through the bar area led to the stairs accessing the rooms. Quaintly creaky stairs, well carpeted, steepish and narrow as befitting a fine building of a certain age.The room was clean and fresh with tea and coffee facilities.A snug ensuite was perfectly adequate.To watch TV you needed to perch on the bed, not worth it though as ours had a very moody reception.The info...read full review
Very nice pub/hotel in a small community. Rooms are clean and comfy. Staff is very helpfull.Food was superb!Rooms: Not so big but everything fits and it was clean.Nearby activities: Not so many activities in this small villageFood & drinks: Very good.Noteworthy details: Visit the local village shop. They sell local pies and cookies. ?
