Absolutely fabulous Sunday lunch today, thank you Red Lion Team. ?? Between us we chose roast rib of beef, the brisket and the roast Lamb. Soo much tender delicious meat, huge tasty yorkies, crispy potatoes and lovely FRESH veggies! Really was the best roast we’ve EVER eaten out and we ordered a wonderful cauliflower cheese as an extra. Extremely generous portions as always and top notch home cooking at its absolute best. No mean portion controlled meals that you get elsewhere… Soo generous that we have as yet to have room left to try any of the deserts!! We don’t eat out as a family often, it’s a treat for us and whenever we do we choose to go to the Red Lion as it is consistently GREAT and all the staff are always really nice. The homemade minted lamb burger they have done in the past is the best burger any of us have ever tried!! ? Their pies are all fresh and homemade, the veg fresh and their gravy yummy! They welcome dogs too which is always a win win for us and for hubby that pops in during a dog walk for a drink and warm up. A traditional old school pub with most excellent food!

Very disappointed, only 2 pubs in the village and there is definitely room for both, if they “upped their game”. Pub was empty even though the rugby was on(other pub was still full). Lamb and chicken curry was hot but sauce tasted like it was out of a packet. We couldn’t eat all our meal and left only after 40mins, on leaving there was only 2 customers in the pub and it was only 8.15!

This is a great pub for dinner or a drink. The food and service was absolutely brilliant. Excellent value for money.

This was the perfect place for 6 of us for a drink and dinner after a day exploring the Cotswolds. Great atmosphere, helpful service and excellent food.

A great little village pub, plenty of choice with ales along with ciders and lagers. Only called in for a drink.

Recommend the beer garden in the back! Inside is quite small/ dim/ sticky tables but still like the atmosphere, if you’re chatty.

This is the second time I’ve eaten here in the last couple of weeks. We travelled to visit the in-laws and had the most amazing roast dinner! Large portions and the brisket was cooked beautifully! The second visit we had scampi and chips, again a very large portion, great value for money! Food was amazing! Staff very friendly, will insist on coming here every time we visit!

Really nice little country village pub. Very friendly landlord, nice selection of Hook Norton beers, good hot drinks and a really inviting beer garden. The highlight had to be the sausage roll ! Lovely and warm and really meaty ! Definitely worth a trip to this pub

Perfect spot for a pint in front of a roaring open fire with plenty of space for 25 of us to sit and warm up after a long walk.
