A lively, busy and friendly pub used by locals and those coming from further afield. This is a place which delights through its friendliness, warmth and exceptionally well-presented premises. We had a very cheery welcome and good service which had just the right level of attentiveness. Food was excellent - delicious, imaginatively presented and hot. Lovely pub in rural location but within easy reach of Stratford upon Avon and other towns, with very much the feeling of a traditional village local . We were a group of friends and were seated at a roomy oval table which made conversation easy. The two or three course set lunch menu offered a good choice and was very reasonably priced. I celebrated my birthday at The Lion and can’t praise them enough. They did an excellent lunch for 20, a mixture of adults and children, some with dietary requirements. Myself and husband also stayed there for 2 nights. The room was very comfortable and we were very well looked after.
