“This hotel is situated about ten minutes from Stratford upon Avon. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Very good for those wishing to go to the RSC theatre.
The very best thing about this place though, is the restaurant. It is absolutely wonderful. Very well run by Abel, a lovely Frenchman, who has worked with Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir. He is very friendly and knowledgeable, and looks after his customers really well. The staff are also first rate, and the food is excellent.
I recommend highly.”

“good beer served cold in a warm pub, just off the water and not far from the theatre. they keep the dog bowls behind the bar, and the board games up of a shelf. comfy chairs and well worn tables. Worth a visit if you like looking at portraits in picture frames.”

“We’ve just had a Sunday Roast here and we were all so impressed. The value for money is amazing. They were even able to cater for gluten free which included Yorkshire puddings! A very rare option for coeliacs. The roast potatoes were incredible and so crispy but soft and were delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly and although we’ve been a few times now, it’s the first time we’ve taken family here and they said it was the best Roast dinner they’ve eaten for a long time.

Dietary restrictions: They have great options for coeliacs/gluten free. They know what they’re talking about and definitely one of few places I would trust to cater safely.”

“Great historic pub with a community atmosphere. They do not open on Mondays as we found out! Nor serve food on Sunday evenings. Very few of the local.pubs open on onday so be aware.. when we finally ate there it was a good experience.”
