Nice traditional food, tender beef with lots of vegetables and a proper Yorkshire pudding. Very friendly staff and great service. The only negative was that the table was still dirty from previous diners, and the floor clearly hadn’t seen a hoover in a long time, being covered in crumbs and a chunk of food by one table leg. Pity as otherwise it’s a lovely traditional pub.

Great country pub. Warm welcome from all staff. Great Sunday lunches, we had one Pork & one Beef. Excellent quality all round - well done team...Book a table to avoid disappointment.

Not trying to be something it's not, this place does it really well. Simple, but tasty, and great value pub food. Friendly, helpful staff. Regular theme nights sound like they go down well too.

Went here with my aunt, uncle and brother for pie night (currently Wednesdays). Pub itself is small and old school with interesting photos and curios on and around the walls. Very small outside area which would be pleasant enough in the summer. No car park as when it was built cars weren't a thing. Staff were very polite and friendly, always a bonus. Menu was very straightforward. One dish you could have as a starter or a main course and one dessert. Three pies and two other choices (total of six) for main, all mains £9. £9 for a main course in a pub in South Warwickshire. It's not a typo. We all had pie and the slices were BIG. And the filling was literally spilling out of them. The chips were cooked to perfection. Drinks wise there was a reasonable selection of ales and lagers (3/4 of each?) on draft as well as the normal selection of spirits. The place doesn't really look much at first when you walk in. However, it is an interesting place and you'll be served by nice people, you will end up with a full stomach, and your wallet will not be that much lighter.

Good quality dining. The take their wine list seriously too. Regular changing menu and good meat from Aubrey Allen. Ashorne is also such a pretty, quaint village.

What a Great little Tavern, Tim & his partner bought the tavern back in June last year gave it a bit of TLC and it's great, we loved it and the meal we had was great to highly recommend it to anybody but that's what we think but you decide it's only your opinion ??
