“My first visit to the establishment in about 5 years and it was fabulous, my wife and I visited Saturday tea time (10.8.24) and were not disappointed… food was incredible, very well cooked and presented… and the flavours… oh my days !!! My wife had the waffles and chicken whilst I had the Chicken Poutine , both dishes were polished off quick time !!… the atmosphere was very laid back with friendly staff and good background music … had a pint of vocation to wash it down with which was excellent… 100% will be returning very soon ???”

“We stayed here on our first night and loved it! They were having an Oktoberfest downstairs which would probably put most people off as the noise did travel up to our room, but we loved it! The best way after a long day of cross-continent travel is to be in your PJs singing along to the folks downstairs.

Noteworthy details: the builidng is a literal piece of history! The details in the rooms and structure say it all. It was a great place to start off our journey!”

“Prebooked a table in the bar for something to eat after a 10 mile hike in the area.
Staff very friendly and helpful. In the bar area you have to goto the bar to order food, its the same menu which is fine. Food was good. large portions so good value for money.
We had 2 starters, 4 mains and lots to drink.
The only thing that disapointed me was that the menu is the same as the Victoria pub down the road which we ate at a couple of weeks previously for a friends birthday.”
