Great place for reasonably priced Chinese food in Selly Oak; especially if you’ve lived in Asia/ south east Asia previously, this place definitely makes you feel comfortable and close to home. The price is fair for the portions with a nice set menu that I often order. Steven is a great lad who really looks out for his guests and gives great suggestions if you’re looking to try new dishes there. I’m a proud regular at this restaurant!

Golden City Chinese Restaurant was money well spent. They give you this huge tray of food, including seaweed soup, rice and meat, salad, even fruits, like the one in the picture. The meat portion is also much, I couldn't finish mine. Had to get a takeaway which they provide free of charge with a nylon bag for you carry leftovers home.
