Impressive looking building, situated right on the canal. The pub has a good beer selection. Food was perfectly acceptable. Nothing amazing, standard chain pub grub, but tasty enough.Biggest downfall for us was the heating, or lack of it. We'd met with friends and were on a bit of a session day. We had planned for more drinks after our meal, but decided to move on as we were all freezing. We'd have happily bedded in for the afternoon if we'd been warm. Probably a sign of the times.

Lovely bar. Great setting. Drink a bit dear compared to other bars but other bars don't have the location. Sitting right next to the canal on the balcony watching the world go by. Worth every penny. Can't wait to visit again.

Nice view, nice pub, apart from that expensive 45 pounds for two fish and ships and two beers that's a lot plus it's you who does the job of the waiter you have to move to the bar and pay directly we serve you afterwards, I'm there I went on a Saturday at 1 p.m., not too many people except that 1/2 hour later all the families showed up with the children and the peace was over, people were screaming and running everywhere, it was more of a restaurant than a pub
