Work in northfield. Wanted a delicious homemade meal to warm me up on a cold day. Had the jerk chicken, mutton sauce, chips and a festival and nearly cried at how good it was. The person who greeted me and gave me my order was very welcoming, kind and friendly and gave me a menu recommendation on request that I will definitely sample ASAP. Great.
Always a bit weary about ordering food from a place I've never tried before. My mother in law told to try here and I'm so glad I did. Ordered a medium and large mutton curry, fried chicken, mutton soup and some dumplings. The curry and the soup had so much flavour, and the perfect amount of spice, it just crept up on you leaving you with a nice tingle on your lips. Oxtail and curry goat are good. The steam veg is done well. Stay away from the jerk chicken, it’s really poor considering how good the other dishes are. Portion sizes could be better ( more meat less rice) But the place is good . Also, some of the best rum cake I’ve tasted
