Terrible! Went to Customer desk with a newspaper, there was only one customer in front of us. 3 people behind the desk, the queue was growing, but the other 2 would not serve. We must of stood there 15 minutes, to pay for a paper, which took seconds. They need to put customers first, and serve them!!!

Appalling check-out arrangements. Avoid this store like the plague. Staff unhelpful..Mr Walters More ... Why do I feel this way about Asda Dudley . . . There are no check out tills open. Your options are queue up at the cigarette/alcohol/lottery counter. The alternative is to look for the machine that will accept your method of payment in:- card only or cash and card. Not easy to identify these because notices are sporting Christmas trimmings! Once again queues here. By the time you pay and get out, you feel stressed out. No wonder Lidl and Aldi are becoming more and more popular. Most supermarkets could take lessons from these supermarkets - they are organised. Check-out is smooth in them. Manager of Asda 'do something positive' for unhappy customers.

I can't fault the store itself, it's one of the staff in particular who always there when I'm shopping and all he does is moan because customers put things back in the wrong place, yesterday he was telling a colleague that he was going to ask security to have a look at the cctv to see who had left an empty packet on the shelves. Jobsworth or whatLet's hope he's not on security or there will be no customers.

have to wait in a queue that grows bc the people doing checkout are too busy talking instead of doing their job.

Asda Merry Hill Customer Services = “UNhappy to help”Refused refund on click & collect item because self-service machine was out of order. My 85 year old Aunt tried to buy an item to be told to go back & find one with a barcode, whilst two members of staff stood there manning customer service desk.

The WORST customer experience I have ever had, particularly by the store manager! Avoid at all costs. Formal complaint raised. I will never be entering this store again and possibly any other Asda stores

Asda merry hill store. This was the worst shopping experience I have ever had. I wanted a make your own pizza on Saturday afternoon at 4pm to be told by the very rude member of staff that she wasn't making anymore as she was tiding up. Asked to speak to the manager who when she arrived was equally as rude and tried to justify why someone couldn't make a pizza. I asked for a number to complain to and she didn't know who or what I needed to do. Another colleague get their personal phone to check this. The number given didn't work so I was later accused of calling this staff member a liar!! Formal complaint raised but I'll never be entering this store again. Truly awful experience, avoid this store at all costs and go to Lidl instead

Absolutely awful customer service by the old lady called Sylvia on check outs. Probably the worst customer service experience I’ve ever received. Proceeded to throw the items down to the packing area when scanning because her conversation was cut short with her friend during her working hours to actually service customers who had been waiting over 20 minutes for her conversation to end.

Used the Merryhill store last night and only two checkouts with staff. This forces those that don’t really want to use the self-service into doing so.Then the CEO will crow that numbers show that self-service is most popular and reduce the normal staff service to customers. Just so wrong.

I ordered an air fryer to be collected ‘after 5pm’ on a given day. When I ‘tracked’ the order it said I had to ‘ collect by 5pm’ I tried for 10 minutes to speak to someone at the store to sort the time out. I was redirected all over the place, eventually directed to a call centre in India. The lady at the call centre tried to put me through to Asda Brierley Hill but no one would pick up. Appalling service

Store is poorly staffed and poorly managed. Recently made a complaint and was offered the store manager to contact me. I agreed this and the store manager hasn't bothered to do so. Online staff have no respect for those shopping in store, and scan and go poorly managed resulting in poor attitude with in store security. Customer service is non existing in this store and the Asda brand management team.

Not enough proper tills. They do have trolley sized and basket sized self service tills and self scan hand held machines to scan as you shop if that is what you like to do when you shop.I have mobility issues and really struggle putting everything in and out of the trolley and scanning everything through so I can't always buy everything I want because there's very few staffed tills in operation. The fruit was all starting to mould and looked very battered. Veg was much better and well priced.Staff we spoke to were knowledgeable and happy to help. Always the best till serving staff here (if you are lucky enough to be able to use a till).Clean store, the clothing area has been changed and now feels very much like a forgotten warehouse stuck on the end of the store.Own brand items have better stock recently though still not reliable. Despite news of stabilising costs... These are still rising each week in price. For such a large player in the grocery world... They do seem to be only lowering prices when they have to compete with others... Often too little too late Asda.
