I ordered food last night to be delivered.I've tried to call the restaurant but I've had no answer. The food has given me food poisening. I didn't eat the chicken out the curry so the poisening could have only came from the egg fried rice. I've been ill for an hour after I'd ate the food last night and still continuing to be sick.Not happy at all.

My chips was cold and dry I ordered three stuffed curried nanns and they was all terrible the chicken was burnt and dry I was very disappointed ? I would recommend not ordering from

I recently dined at Essence of India and felt compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, the rudeness of the staff overshadowed the tasty food. It was evident that they were judging us before even taking our orders, which made us feel unwelcome. I believe providing training on hospitality and customer service could greatly enhance the restaurant's reputation

Walking down the street you'd be unable to tell because of the humble exterior but this place is actually great. The food is fantastic, the staff is very polite and helpful and the atmosphere is nice and cosy.Parking: The main entrance faces the high street but there are places to park nearby.

Just had a curry delivery, came within a good time , but curry was so watery I had to drain it down the sink , was also a chicken madrass and I've had hotter onion rings than that , the chips were basically all crispy (not very nice ) , on the other hand the naan , rice and poppadoms were nice but let's face it , can't really mess them up can you ! . Will not order from there again
What can I say..amazing food and delivery. Food came hot as if it had just come out the kitchen. The flavours was to die for. I will be ordering the deluxe mixed grill again. Thanks chef!!

Staying at the Merry Hill Copthorne hotel we, as we often do when travelling,decided a local non chain restaurant would be our preferred choice for our evening meal. Essence of India, less than 10 minutes well lit walk from the hotel, lived up to its Trip Advisor rating. Great personal service was coupled with delicious food served piping hot. The mixed starter platter for two was followed by an “apna” curry that had a real depth of flavour, not just hot, but with real complex depth. The South Indian Garlic Chilli lived up to its name with toasted garlic clearly distinguishable in the sauce. Would not hesitate to return if we lived more locally and very happy to recommend to other travellers.

Beautiful food, wonderful service and so reasonably priced. As a stranger to the area, I couldn't have hoped for a more delicious meal. Thoughtful staff and lovely surroundings what else do I need to say. Well worth travelling 200 miles for! So looking forward to the special offer night on Wednesday - exceptional value! I will definitely be back!
