Staying at the Merry Hill Copthorne hotel we, as we often do when travelling,decided a local non chain restaurant would be our preferred choice for our evening meal. Essence of India, less than 10 minutes well lit walk from the hotel, lived up to its Trip Advisor rating. Great personal service was coupled with delicious food served piping hot. Beautiful food, wonderful service and so reasonably priced. As a stranger to the area, I couldn't have hoped for a more delicious meal. Thoughtful staff and lovely surroundings what else do I need to say. Well worth travelling 200 miles for! So looking forward to the special offer night on Wednesday - exceptional value! I will definitely be back!

I chose this place purely on the Tripadvisor reviews which were excellent. As usual the reviews were correct. The food was great, so were the choices of beers and wines. The service was excellent, freindly and the food was served quickly. I would eat here again.
